Half off oysters ($1.50) from 4-6 and 9-10 daily! Oysters are always fresh and there's a variety to choose from. You must try the escargot!! Cheesy buttery garlicky deliciousness on toasted bread.

I have Celiac disease and cannot have any gluten. I got a fantastic cheese and meat plate, and ordered the salmon! Their French fries are not safe if you are gluten free!

Half price oysters ($1,50) between 4pm and 6pm. Currently part of restaurant week. $38per person for choice of starter (I had mussels in a cast iron pot) main (fish and chips) and dessert (truffles)

The Province House (1679–1864) was the official residence of the Royal Governors until the American Revolution. It was established in this same lot. Marliave is the oldest Italian restaurant in Boston.

Round out the $1 oyster/clam deal with an excellent beef carpaccio and Caesar salad - both among the best I've had in Boston! Service is super as well.

The hostesses aren't too friendly or accommodating, but the wait and bartending staff are great. The quality of the food makes up for the lukewarm reception at the door, though... I keep coming back.

A cast-iron pot of meaty Boston baked beans ($5.25) arrives. Someone is serious about this humble dish, which isn't cloying or overrun with molasses, and is plenty soupy and smoky. Read more

Fresh oysters are shucked at the ground-level raw bar, while the first-floor bar/café offers modestly-priced American fare and well-crafted old-school cocktails. Pricier, but good, food at the top. Read more

Too much awesomeness. The blind pig for one. The beets. So simple and so good. All the egg dishes but you'll wonder how they got all that flavor into a fritatta. Do it!
