- the uni soba was spot-on. if you like grated yam and uni, this is your dish! the nabeyaki udon was cooked in a very deep, chicken broth - best I've had so far outside of Japan! highly recommend both
- The Corcoran GroupAugust 29, 2011Come here for lunch and fill up your tummy with one of their combo specials – the Salmon Oyako Don or the Chicken Kuwayaki are delish. Service is a bit iffy.
- Connie ChiuJanuary 17, 2018Get the bowl with uni, roe, and crab legs. So good and tasty! It’s a bit on the pricey side, with MP at $25 when I went. I also got the miso pork but could’ve went without it.
- dawn.in.newyorkSeptember 22, 2016Uni soba is great and the lunch specials is famous here, but what I'm amazed by the most is Uni & Unagi appetizer. Uni fans will definitely love it.
- Marc SchneebergerMarch 12, 2019The amount of uni that you get in the unisoba is insane! Very good soba! Other dishes in the menu you get a much better deal in Sakagura. Sake menu is decent and Yakitori is quite good too! Enjoy! :)
- Andreas CohenAugust 22, 2016If you like Uni (Sea Urchin), the Uni Soba noodles are a must. I switched out the yam topping for radish instead. Great Yakitori too
- ZhouMarch 19, 2015After countless orders, we finished our evening with desserts (I highly recommend getting the 3 course and cheesecake). Tempura & skewers needs more salt!! Loved the duck prosciutto & kawari tofu.
- BonNovember 12, 2019Sashimi and soba are great although the amount of rice in the sashimi sansho don is quite a lot for the amount of fish. Soba was austere and could use a few threads of scallion
- Sung HwangFebruary 14, 2016Get the lunch special set as the portion and the selection is huge. I usually just get uni soba thoughz
- This is what I order every time: duck soba (cold noodles w/ hot duck dipping sauce—noodles stay firm), mochi bacon yakitori, corn tempura, Tori Dango (steamed sticky rice dumpling stuffed chicken)
- Chirashi lunch special is the best in midtown, 10 bucks with a huge bowls of raw fish together with sushi rice and hot or cold soba by choice and sides. Be there before noon cuz there gotta be lines.
- Brian TOctober 29, 2013There is no ramen, even though Foursquare has it labeled as such. This place is all about the soba and dons. Try the Salmon Oyaku Don - fantastic!
- Alice NamJanuary 7, 2016Uni soba and Salmon don. If the restaurant's fully booked, you can still order the same menu at the bar. Great selection of liquor too
- Come M-F 11:30-12pm & order $10 bara chirashi bowl+soba deal(limited to 1st 20)-no longer a great deal but still ok. They're skimping out now: @times NO uni, less tuna & salmon, & more of mackerel.
- I usually go for dinner and get the uni soba and various yakitori. Went for lunch today and can't beat the combo deals! Ikura is very salty though.
- BonNovember 12, 2019Sashimi sanshoku don lunch bowl has quite a lot of rice for the amount of fish. Soba side is good although austere. Could use a few scallion threads at least
- Try any of the yakitori and soba. Favorite is gizzard and liver. Also get the chicken meatball.
- TingFebruary 19, 2016The first 20 of barachirashi-don set of the day is at $10. Had better but definitely no complains at that price. Good for the budget and should satisfy any Jap craving.
- The Okame soba is the shit. I'm also a huge fan of all the Yakitori. Try the chicken hearts, gizzards, shiitake, shishito skewers. I haven't a bad dish so I recommend trying everything!
- Great lunch menus. I like the salmon/salmon roe on rice. For dinner, order the yakitori. So good.
- Tom HalleranApril 14, 2015You can't beat the chirashi and soba lunch special for $10. Limited to 20 per day.
- katwiththekJuly 27, 2018Great selection of lunch sets. Ordered the grilled black cod with cold soba. Their soba noodles are homemade. Good food, great service and atmosphere.
- What's Good HereFebruary 6, 2015Try the Kalbi Don lunch special (stir fried beef short rib marinated in special sauce) with warm soba noodles.
- Josephine SonAugust 23, 2014Awesome lunch deal! Uni Ikura Don and Soba for $19. Quick service so can get back to work fast!
- Their other addicting dishes are their house salad & $20 uni, crab, & salmon roe rice. ;9 Dinner menu is different. Lunch is definitely the time to go!
- suneelFebruary 9, 2015their omakase guarantees you a good portion of the menu at a very reasonable price.
- Alastair TseJune 7, 2012Just go straight to the soba. The noodles are amazing, very different from the regular soba you get elsewhere. I'd recommend the Duck mushroom broth with cold soba. Incredible.
- Kalbi don (short rib w/ grilled onions & shishito peppers on rice) lunch set is yet another fave!;9 Kalbi is a lil' spicy, sweet & salty.
- ktrFebruary 15, 2019Menu seems changed & parred down. Wasn’t quite as good as before, but still pretty decent. Still recommend the yakitori, although chicken in negima skewers weren’t as cleanly trimmed as in the past 😕
- get the sukiyaki soba, aspara bacon, okonomiyaki (Japanese savory pancake), takoyaki (octopus balls), + any of the yakitori. all the apps are great.
- Ron RaphaelJuly 27, 2017Great spot, recommendation for the Don w Uni, Salmon Roe & Snow Crab. Fatty tuna was also amazing!
- Quinton MaApril 24, 2015The uni, crab, roe rice bowl is better than their uni soba. The hot sobas really need to be eaten quickly or they get soft.
- Serious EatsJanuary 1, 2014Popular lunch spot best for its namesake soba noodles as well as set lunches.
- CherylAugust 26, 2014The $10 chirashi and zaru soba special on Fridays is everything I've ever wanted in a lunch set.
- Michael TJanuary 31, 2013Harami, Berkshire pork, bacon wrapped enoki mushrooms, and negima Yakitori are all winners here. Agedashi tofu is good but used to be a lot bigger...

- ドーラMarch 7, 2011A cool, upscale place for business lunch/dinner in Midtown. You can get a lunch bento for $15. Sushi and sake are fine, too. The atmosphere is modern and classy.
- Tom HalleranMarch 24, 2015Very nice soba, excellent lunch sets. Still need to come for dinner to try the yakitori.
- Nicole KJanuary 19, 2015The yakatori cannot be missed. Chicken hearts, fatty salmon and quick eggs are simple perfection.
- NinaAugust 1, 2013Dominique Ansel: The chicken tail and chicken oyster yakitori with my Dassai 23 Kamo Soba (they use sake lees to make the noodles themselves)
- Brian ParkNovember 29, 2015The Namerou (Mackerel Tartare) with Miso Sauce and Shiso Leaf is a must get!!
- Almost evry time I've gotten the $10 bara chirashi bowl recently, there's been no uni in it-seems mighty fishy they serve uni ikura bowl & don't hv it in $10 bowl anymore. Are they "cheaping" out now?
- Andy GrossmanSeptember 3, 2015Atmosphere at the side bar is best. Grab a table & enjoy the hot or cold soba.
- Kit&kafoodleNovember 23, 2015The service is friendly but the food isn't anything spectacular. Had the Okame Soba (not enough meat) and Oyako Don (not bad). The tempura was nice and fresh.
- Hong Kyu ParkJuly 4, 2015Whether it be udon, soba or ramen, the noodle offerings are great. Tasty side dishes
- The lunch special (Appetizers, Soba and Rice Bowl for under $20) and the Tsukune (Ground Chicken) Skewers are OFF THE CHAIN!!!
- Amy RobertsonJune 24, 2015The yakitori is delicious, especially the pork with pinto and beef short rib
