Their Spanish mackerel sushi is some of the best I've had outside of my fave spot Asanebo. I also LOVE their spicy tuna on crispy rice! Even my hub who doesn't like spicy tuna likes it.

Best sushi in Sherman Oaks. The Spicy Tuna with crispy rice is unreal. Call ahead, gets crowded. Also, great date spot.

Be sure to get in by 11:30 to get one of their 15 lunch specials. Good amount of food for a great price. Tasty too.

What I love about this Katsuya is the atmosphere is more mellow and less pretensions than it's sister restaurants. Great food and great vibe

Lunch specials are incredible. Come early or wait until 1:30pm. $20 Katsuya lunch is the best.

Spicy tuna with crispy rice was good; albacore with crispy onion was just ok; also ordered the scallops with foie gras which was good but pricey at $24 alone!

We had a reservation but got there 14 min late and were told our table had been given away. FYI if you have a reservation don't be late! Also really REALLY noisy. Hard to talk to dining companion!!!!

Not sure why this one isn't as good as the one in Studio City, when it's the same restaurant (chain) and not even far away. But went there twice and just not as good.
