- Lyd A.September 17, 2013Their Spanish mackerel sushi is some of the best I've had outside of my fave spot Asanebo. I also LOVE their spicy tuna on crispy rice! Even my hub who doesn't like spicy tuna likes it.
- Kelly BlackOctober 8, 2013Crispy rice with spicy tuna, seared spicy albacore with crispy onion, and creamy salmon rolls are all awesome!
- Cameron DupuyMarch 1, 2018Best sushi in Sherman Oaks. The Spicy Tuna with crispy rice is unreal. Call ahead, gets crowded. Also, great date spot.
- W CAugust 23, 2015Be sure to get in by 11:30 to get one of their 15 lunch specials. Good amount of food for a great price. Tasty too.
- Rachel LodinJune 7, 2015best sushi in the valley! get the green beans for a unique but amazing dish!
- JordanPaigeSeptember 27, 2011try the seared scallop with foie gras or the kobe beef steak with mushrooms. Everything here is fresh and great quality, worth the prices.
- Crystal RoseSeptember 10, 2011What I love about this Katsuya is the atmosphere is more mellow and less pretensions than it's sister restaurants. Great food and great vibe
- Lunch specials are incredible. Come early or wait until 1:30pm. $20 Katsuya lunch is the best.
- Vivian de Los Reyes-CuadernoJanuary 28, 2012Spicy tuna with crispy rice was good; albacore with crispy onion was just ok; also ordered the scallops with foie gras which was good but pricey at $24 alone!
- This place is the best they have very reasonable lunch specials - high quality...
- Brandon HoangNovember 20, 2021Sushi is exquisite without being pretentious. Feels like a neighborhood joint.
- Blake ShapiroJune 30, 2012We had a reservation but got there 14 min late and were told our table had been given away. FYI if you have a reservation don't be late! Also really REALLY noisy. Hard to talk to dining companion!!!!
- Spicy Albacore with Crispy Onion is the best sushi dish in the house! Also try the Seared Baby Blue Fin Special.
- John StanforthOctober 5, 2012Not sure why this one isn't as good as the one in Studio City, when it's the same restaurant (chain) and not even far away. But went there twice and just not as good.
- Ask for the green iced tea. It tastes great. Get the baked crab handroll last- it's like desert.
- Creamy tock shrimp tempura, bake crab hand rolls and the albacore with crispy onion. Delish!
- Be sure to save room for dessert and order the green tea tiramisu!
- Add avocado to your baked crab hand roll! Delicious!
- if you sit at the bar, you can get a pineapple instead of an orange as your complementary dessert.
- Order shishito peppers! This dish is a taste explosion.
- None of their chain locations have ever been about frugality, but more about image. They used to have cuts that rocked.
- Coolassmike BowersMarch 23, 2010Over priced and nothing to show for it. Octopus up the street is a much better deal and meal. <--- that rhymed... Lol. But serious tho! Stay away unless you just wanna waste money on a so so name.
- Extremely overrated. 4 on 6 Sushi across the street has much fresher fish.
- For a limited time only, be sure to check out the Jackson family craziness around the corner!
