This is a great place to beat the summer heat in air-conditioned comfort, and to take a leak if you're in Rittenhouse Park. Oh, and you can find books for sale as well.
The Barnes and Noble cafe just serves Starbucks brand, they are not a Starbucks. I suggest getting you Starbucks around the corner at 18th and chestnut and bringing it with you.- Get a membership if you plan on buying more than one book a month. You need to spend about $250 a year to make out on the discount.

If you don't secure a seat in the cafe within 5 minutes after the store opens, you're out of luck and will need to try again tomorrow.
Place has really changed and not towards a customer oriented mood... You used to be able to sit in here but they limited it ton this really small spot! Miss being able to just sit and read!!

no place to sit in the cafe and the upstairs is just as bad. If you find a seat upstairs it might still get taken away if they're having an event. Don't bother sitting on floor Security will say move
