- GenaJune 2, 2013The lobster rolls may be tiny, but each component is made with he highest quality ingredients that you quickly forget the size. Buttery, toasted potato bun + light, chunky filling makes an ideal roll
- Angela WenJune 18, 2016Whiskey ginger cocktail and oysters were the only things worth it from my meal. $30 for a small lobster roll and fries (though delicious) just ain't worth it. Fish and chips only come with one piece.
- Serious EatsApril 1, 2014Their lobster roll, served with a pile of near-perfect fries, is our pick for one of the best in the city. Don't miss it!
- Christina ChinAugust 7, 2022Burger was excellent, the pork bun roll used is on point. Lobsta roll smaller vs other restos and cost just as much so...🤷♀️ also give choc mini lobsters at the end gratis
- Start with some oysters and margarita (my fave in nyc) get the lobster roll, and end with a blueberry creme brule and ice cream sandwich. Yes, both desserts. This is a place where you don't hold back!
- Skip the lobster roll and go straight for the lobster ravioli. Bring a friend: it's a hefty dish. The PEI mussels are also a great deal, so start with that with a side of grilled veggies.
- Village VoiceJune 3, 2013It may be Ed's Lobster Bar, but we love the fried Ipswich clams. They're juicy and nicely briny, with a clean crunch. So good you probably won't even need the accompanying lemon or tartar sauce!
- Everyone comes for the lobster rolls. I thought they were overpriced ($30) compared to Lobster joint which is much more affordable ($17) for just as much meat. All in all a good lunch spot
- J CrowleyJuly 10, 2013Fried clams (whole belly) are outstanding. Lobster roll is pricey but good. Clam chowder? More like potato soup. Meh. The real winner - the Arnold Palmer. Best I've ever had.
- Mike DizonJanuary 4, 2012Great place, but after having Luke's, it's hard to pay the $20+ for the lobster roll here when I love what Luke's does. Ed's is heavy on the mayo, fwiw. (3 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more
- Jen14221March 27, 2013If they're on special, try the $4 slider. It's a bacon-wrapped battered deep fried oyster on a twee little bun with lettuce, tomato and mayo. Three or four bites of deliciousness. You're welcome.
- Get the lobster meatballs if they're offering them (wed and sat usually) but make sure you have someone to share them with. Also try the oyster sampler.
- Ina LiMarch 4, 2015Lobster bisque, calamari, mussels are all good. The Cesar salad has so much Parmesan and crouton I don't even know if it's good or bad
- Spiros TheocharisAugust 20, 2016The lobster roll was majestic!! Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Prices were reasonable for what they offer!! Wow!!
- Steven BriderDecember 29, 2013Great first experience. Mussels with the lobster broth was some of the best mussels I ever had. Lobster ravioli was really good. Can't wait to come back to try more things.
- emeFebruary 21, 2015Skip the lobster roll and go for the broiled and/or steamed lobster. It is the best value. Delish soups as well. Finish off with the blueberry creme brûlée.
- İpek A.December 31, 2014If you're looking for a delicious lobster roll you should choose here. And their schimp cocktail is also good. But a little bit expensive.
- Elizabeth BursteinMarch 28, 2020Great lobster rolls, amazing fries, good chowder (little water y but i liked it was not so heavy)
- Pramod PaiMay 8, 2015The lobster roll is plentiful of chunky lobster meat in mayo and chive garnish crammed in barely split butter-brushed bun; includes nice addition of crunchy fries and pickle on the side. Read more
- Louis VuittonAugust 26, 2011Serving lobster steamed, grilled, broiled, in burgers, pasta, pies and rolls, Ed’s is the place to come for lobster in New York. We tried the lobster roll paired with a fresh white wine – delicious!
- Lobster rolls and oysters here are great, but I had the pan seared scallops last night and they were the best thing I've eaten in ages. Try it!

- This is my favorite restaurant of all time! Start with something off the raw bar. Then get the Lobster Roll with fries on the side. The pickles are amazing. Wash it all down with a Kwak beer.
- Nef NefJune 12, 2018Great mac n cheese! Very reasonable prices. Needs to book a table! Only negtive it is too noisy
- DevontaFebruary 28, 2015The Lobster Ravioli is AMAZING! The sauce just melts in your mouth. I prefer the Ravioli over the Lobster Rolls. Give it a try.
- Spotted by Locals - city guides by localsOctober 1, 2013At the bar you’ll also be able to watch the cocktail mixing magic happening, the waiters are friendly and great with recommendations too. Read more
- The lobster ravioli is the best thing I have ever eaten and I consider myself a foodie
- Best lobster roll in the city hands down, and you can add some cold water oysters to that stellar Cesar but don't forget the lobster ale
- ZenFoodsterAugust 17, 2015Quality not on par w/ pricey bill. Clam chowda-watery & bland w/1 clam; Lil' oyster-masked by taste of bacon in cold, limp slider bun; fried calamari-overcooked & rubbery; Fries-best of lot. A No-Go!
- Zachary Adam CohenAugust 25, 2011Ed's Lobster Bar concept expands to it's third location on one of the best eating blocks in the city. Clean. Fresh. Inviting. Impeccable food. Order anything. Be happy.
- Seriously this place is the best. I come from chicago once a year to eat here. Get the ravioli
- The Corcoran GroupAugust 15, 2011Don't even bother with the small Lobster Roll, go for Ed's sized, and make sure you have his world famous pickles. They're a perfect compliment.
- Maria KNovember 25, 2017The oysters were delicious, and the lobster roll amazing. Would recommend grabbing a seat at the bar.
- Raul ReyesNovember 26, 2018Been there several times and it's always amazing. Lobster bisque and ravioli were awesome.

- Annie JAugust 27, 2013Been a couple times already. Lobster roll is ok but prefer Luke's. Didn't care for the lobster pot pie. Fish & chips were good. Oysters were delicious with good selection.

- alphacityguidesNovember 27, 2012Lots of tempting options, but if it's your first time stick with the lobster roll. It's (arguably!) the best thing on the menu!
- Nikolai YakovenkoMay 6, 2012Lobster roll or lobster ravioli? Depends if you want hot or cold. Both are excellent. Also very good for champagne & oysters.
- Great Bib salad - good for 2 or as a main meal. The very best lobster roll!
