- The best thing about The Publick House is its extensive selection of rare (at least in the U.S.) Belgian beers, but the Monk Fries in a paper cone are a close second. Eat some with truffle ketchup.
- Rue La LaSeptember 5, 2012One of the best selections of Belgian beer (draft and bottled) in the area. Get there early on weekends - it fills up fast, and food stops by 11PM. Our favorite brew? Delirium Tremens on tap.
- Dan SaksaJune 7, 2015If you're a serious Mac and cheese connoisseur like myself, you should definitely eat the Mac and cheese. Add lobster for an additional deliciousness boost.

- Aaron WheelerDecember 5, 2016Fantastic veggie burger! So many toppings, but the apricot IPA BBQ and some pickles jalapeños will make your heart scream yum!
- Avradeep ChakrabartiSeptember 2, 2013The appetiser moules frites is more than enough for one! 25 moules in a pot. (50 for main course!). Pot 4 was delicious. Pot 2 was a bit salty for me.
- UntappdAugust 20, 2011A fine selection of Belgian beers on draft. Great food and they serve all the beers in the proper glass. Check out ThePublick House Provisions to stock up on take out beer and glassware.
- Ryan PaulDecember 31, 2016The waterzooi aux poissons is fantastic if you're looking for something hearty and delicious on a cold winter evening.
- Jamie KAugust 31, 2012Skip the matchstick frites and ask for a bag of the steak fries and pick your sauces. Truffle ketchup, beer mustard and la choice mayo suggested. 3$ for the side of fries, such a hearty portion
- Di JiangAugust 16, 2013Mussels, Mac & cheese (fried egg, andouille sausage, caramelized onions, hotdog bites), and veal meatballs. Best comfort food to go with Belgian blond

- Erica AyotteAugust 17, 2011If you like fancy beer (or cider) this is the place for you. Also plenty of great eats. Have to get the moules frites, also the cheese and charcuterie platters are well done.
- The Ad ClubJanuary 29, 2011Food is Amazing, beer list is endless. One of the best bars in the city. Bill can add up quick, so if you're just interested in drinks try their sister bar American Craft down the street.
- Jake SmithNovember 16, 2013This place is pretty great because there isn't a bad food or beer to order on their menu. Go outside your comfort zone and be pleasantly surprised.

- HUGE beer menu! I think you could come here every day for six months and not try every beer. Try the Belgians.
- The best restaurant made mac-n-cheese you will ever have, never a dull beer moment. Go early weeknights. The weekend crowd causes an unfortunate wait and not much room to order while-you-wait drinks.
- Monk's Frites are great. Beer selection is excellent. Veggie Burger is good too, but get toppings (avocado, cheese, grilled onions) or it's super plain.
- Micah BrownJune 27, 2012Great staff, great music, great craft beers, get the mussels, fish n chips, and mac n cheese
- dancingqueen fAMedevoLv3xionSeptember 12, 2011Another bar-food replaced FIVE(used2B cool dance music scene)-eh=ambiance nor food choices... good dance music=better than another typical dc watering hole, exit right down M to 19 2the Sweet Spot
- Don't use your card here. They pre authorize it for more than the check amount. Other than that great beer selection and food!

- McChouffe is almost always on tap and is always delightful. Frites with chipotle mayo are a must.
- Great beer selection, always very crowded. Stand near the bar, space turns over pretty often. Frites are the best in the world.
- If you like Guinness then try the O'Hara's on draft! Same type of Irish Stout but with 100x more flavor than Guinness - and Guinness is/was my favorite beer.
