- Mike WinstonMay 29, 2014This is the best and freshest sushi in all of Silicon Valley. Order from the Omakase menu and enjoy the incredible raw seafood. Read all about my visit on WinstonWanders below!! Read more
- Shirley LiuNovember 23, 2015Definitely get the Tomi roll! Sashimi is also really fresh;the hamachi sashimi, amaebi nigiri, and hotate nigiri were my faves.
- Salmon sashimi is so buttery. They have hamachi toro too. Bluefin chutoro was pricy. And you can't go wrong with the Tsukiji specials ($26 for 12 pcs sashimi or $19 for 6 pcs nigiri sushi)
- One of my favorite sushi places in the area. Definitely go for fresh sushi and sashimi. Reasonable prices and a diverse menu. Get there early, or be prepared to wait at least 15-20 minutes or longer.
- They have pretty good udon too! Recently got the nabeyaki udon and it was great. Perfect runny egg and a rich broth! Also came with tempura.
- NanaOctober 4, 2021The best sushi in town! Fresh salmon/sake sashimi and Tomi special with spicy tuna so good! Don’t underestimate the California roll!
- The special chirashi is very tasty (tuna is fantastic). Very cozy izakaya style. As soon as you get there, go inside and write down your name; then prepare to wait 30 minutes or more.
- Elizabeth FongNovember 27, 2015Best Asari miso soup I've had in my life. The special roll is also amazing (seared salmon belly and scallop). Unfortunately, the sushi omakase was disappointing. They skimped on quality there :(
- Seth BorusSeptember 21, 2016Love this old school - traditional Japanese sushi place. Great value for super fresh sushi and a nice place too!
- Alexander KuzminApril 6, 2018Best sushi spot in Mountain View. There is always a line at the door, so get on the waiting list early. Rec!
- Sashimi portions are very generous in the dinner combo. Tuna and salmon.
- EmilyDecember 19, 2015Chirashi is always fresh and great variety. Extra special chirashi comes with generous portion of uni and amaebi.
- Carole PlanconJanuary 11, 2017It's apparently THE place to be in MTV. We had a 25 min wait (not bad!) and we enjoyed a bunch of different dishes🍣🍱🍙 Favorites: Tomi rolls and Gyoza 💥
- My favorite mid-priced sushi place near Palo Alto. They don't take reservations so plan for 30 minutes to an hour walking around Castro.
- 'Johnson Rualo Hipona, Jr.July 6, 2012Amaeb fresh is nice. They also fry the head for you for a crispy treat before or after. Great contrast in taste & preparation.
- High quality sushi/food. Lunch bentos are great. Dinner bentos really a good deal. Portions are great!
- Tom CoatesApril 13, 2015Just delicious lunch. The bomb roll is gorgeous and the Tomi Special was just lovely. Very much recommended.
- 'Johnson Rualo Hipona, Jr.July 6, 2012Extra Special Chirashi ($33). We requested the chef to cut each piece for easy sharing. They were more then happy to!
- Very good Japanese restaurant. Really fresh Sashimi, tasty Miso soup and nice service in Japanese Style. The waitress, Kyoko-San is so kind. Don't forget to try Plum wine here!!
- Andrew KoJune 14, 2013I came on a Friday for lunch, and sat at the bar. All the fish was really fresh and particularly the amaebi and uni were really sweet.
- Lunch bento is a great deal. Sashimi pieces are quite big and you get a lot of food for $13
- Sir Francis WestNovember 12, 2016Portions not very huge but food is very good. Went with the lunch special Bento box, sashimi, and potstickers
- Min LeeSeptember 9, 2014Always check daily lunch special. But bento combo is always a good and a great deal.
- Jenn ClarkMay 31, 2015Yummy spot. The spicy scallop roll is a must but avoid the cold salt-less edamame.
- Nicolas SNovember 17, 2014Had a daily special (chirashi) for lunch, was ok (although there was some skin left on one of the pieces of fish) but the place was very crowded and I had the feeling that I was to leave asap.
- The combination dinner is great! Includes soup, rice, salad and 2 entree, that's a huge and delicious meal just for $17
- Parth BMay 23, 2013If you don't make s reservation, you can expect to wait till you're 65 for table. If you're 65, then lucky you.
- Super popular. Either be there early or wait... Order the special of the day (sushi/sashimi)
- Timothy MöhleMay 26, 2016The sushi dinner platter (pre-set) is generous, well-crafted and delicious.
- Tone MosleyApril 1, 2017Sushi was good, salmon definitely was a buttery taste . Not as cheap as I was lead to believe. 2 people 2 beers total $94.00. Maybe we got the most expensive choices. But still it wasn't that cheap.
- Hadar DorAugust 30, 2013Get their chef's special for nigiri's - the fish here is fresher and better than anywhere else!
- Venkatesh HodavdekarSeptember 10, 2014Food is great. Live the sushi tomi roll. Be prepared to wait on weekends.
- 'Johnson Rualo Hipona, Jr.July 6, 2012The Baby Octopus was well prepared. With a wedge of lemon & sea salt to add a little more character to the taste. Yum! (<$8)
- Hadar DorSeptember 13, 2013My favorite sushi place in the South Bay. Try their chef's choice nigiri combo
- Justin WebsterOctober 4, 2014The sashimi here is super thick! Definitely the most generous cuts I have had.
- Ashley MorrisFebruary 14, 2012This place is great! Loved the rolls, sashimi, and the wine. The staff is very nice too!
- Get the extra special chirashi if you love amaebi, toro, hotate, and uni! :)
- Scott McReynoldsFebruary 1, 2013Try the Wild King Salmon - Wow! Very buttery even compared to our local Salmon
- Wayne KaoNovember 27, 2013Not my absolute favorite Bay Area sushi, but enjoyable to walk to in Downtown Mountain View on weekends for lunch.
- Great sushi! The magurodon is great and not too pricey.
- Karolina 🦖August 2, 2015I don't quite get why is this place so popular. It was good quality sashimi, but we left hungry (paid >70 for two people)
- Get the omakase. Totally worth it and the izakaya style apps are delicious
