Wok-tossed chicken with chilies- Nubs of poultry get pan fried until crispy, tossed with blistered red chili peppers, & then doused in oil imbued with the mouth-numbing heat of Szechuan peppercorns. Read more

Head to this Chinese gem near Bryant Park for crispy cumin lamb, soft tofu with spicy pork, and braised whole bass with chili and scallions. The specialties here are all excellent. [Eater 38 Member]

Awesome chili oil sauce in the dumplings. If you want something different and authentic, try the sautéed bamboo shoots with pork. Huge portions that will last 2-3 meals.

2 legit 2 quit ordering their Mapo tofu (best I've had outside China), Dan Dan Noodles & crispy Lamb. If you like Szechuan peppercorns, you're in for a treat.

Braised crispy tofu with pork & shrimp in garlic were delicious and fun to share with a friend. That chili oil is 👌🏽 to be honest, I didn't think the food was that spicy as everyone keeps saying!

Loved the general chicken and spring rolls. Spring rolls weren’t greasy at all. Also had the spicy cashew noodles, which were a great appetiser.

Dan Dan Noodles are A+. Chili Cumin Lamb is top-notch. I found the Double-Cooked Pork Belly to be boring, but I would vote the Spicy Garlic Baby Eggplant for President. 👌

Hot & sour soup best I've ever had. Spicy hot & sour cellophane noodles, excellent. Chewy nest of noodles in molten lava broth. Sliced pork belly, delicious.

Spicy cold noodles (the best I've had in the city) + one entree was enough for 2 hungry people! There was still food leftover. Pretty awesome for a place on this part of Midtown.

The chili sauce that came on my pork dumplings was amazing. Best Chinese food (chicken and broccoli specifically) I've ever had, and I've tried that EVERYWHERE.

Pretty authentic Chinese cuisine in New York City, as told to us by a couple of Chinese ladies who sat down next to us. Try Szechuan dumplings, and the angel hair. Everything was great.

If you like spice this is the place to eat! Fish in chili oil is delicious; beware of throwing back too much of the oil.. it will run right through you. Learning the technique is half the fun.

Still a hit or miss place but can be pretty good. Saw that they had steamed juicy pork buns. Was a little iffy about ordering them from a szechuan place... they came out frozen on the inside.

A bit on the fence on this one. If you are in the area and feel like having some spicy Chinese, this is your place. Otherwise head over to Chinatown.
