When the Bart train first stops the doors open then close soon. Don't worry, they will open again just before departure since Millbrae is a terminal station
Hong Kong FlowerLounge is right across the street. It's a huge dim sumpalace (3 floors) specializing in seafood. Excellent quality and reasonable prices.
best deal for long-term airportparking. $6/day (free weekends). late-nite & weekends there is a direct train to SFO. otherwise transfer at san bruno. (long term parking is $18/day at SFO!!)
There are restrooms but they are tricky to find. You have to go to the upper level, inside the paid area, on the North side. If you go up on the South side, you can't get to the restrooms.
Pay for parking in the station when you lay for your ticket by adding it to your fare. Go passed the gate to get it validated. Remember your parking spot number.
All BART trains go to the city from here. Evenings and weekends they stop at SFO on the way. Daytime they skip SFO, change at San Bruno to go to SFO then.
If you don't have cash for parking, use you're Bart ticket and go to the machine for adding money to your card/parking validation. Insert your existing ticket and it will automatically take out the $.
There is now a "library a go go" lending machine here. So far I am unsuccessful in getting a book from it. Pls post if anyone can (library card is valid!)
This is the only BART Station that also houses a Caltrain station. BART only goes North from here. To get to SFO, you'll need to transfer at San Bruno except after 7pm and weekends.
An essential transit hub made deeply frustrating by SamTrans' decision not to service the bus terminal here in favor of stood several blocks away. More efficient? For drivers, maybe, not passengers.
