- Sabina B.September 8, 2014Couldn't be happier to find dhaba cuisine done so well. Try the chaat, pani puri, dosas, chole bhatura, aloo paratha, and/or the veg kathi roll. Wash it all down with a chai at the end.
- S L.May 20, 2013Authentic and delicious Indian food. Many vegetarian options. I highly recommend the Chicken M-something (I forgot the exact name). It's a tomato-based curry sauce and the best curry I've ever had.
- Awesome chaats as you would expect from the name. The breads here are excellent and their Masala Dosa is outrageously delicious!
- Runqiu CaiSeptember 7, 2016Get the Cholla Bhatura (aka big puffy thing). It's really delicious! Also, get the Dahi Pakori. Definitely order off the daily Chaat menu for uncommon Indian street foods you wouldn't normally see
- THE place to go for southern Indian food. They have menu info cards near the start of the line for newbs. Pick a name you can hear easily. Share food. get a dosa.
- VarunJuly 29, 2019A popular chaat place that gets crowded and closes early (8pm). Good items: chicken kathi roll, pav bhajji, chole bature. Not so good items: sev puri, dahi puri, dosa, gulab jamun.
- The Chicken Lollipops are sensational. Shatteringly crispy, a little spicy, we'll seasoned and juicy. Serious competition for their Dosa and Cholle Bhature which are my typical go to options.
- MereSeptember 23, 2014Line can get super long on weekends, but it moves fast and is totally worth it. And the food comes out pretty quick after you order.
- You can expect a fast service even with a queue of 10+. I feel that the chaat items are better than the south indian items like dosa, idli, uttappam, sambar.
- Been coming here for years, back when this was still in a warehouse like facility! Never ceases to satiate! From the chaat to the biryani, you'll be hard pressed not to find something you'll enjoy.
- PoojaAugust 5, 2014Excellent sev puri. Good uttapam. Closes early: check timings before you go. No other eateries in walking distance.
- Ryan LeggettJune 17, 2018Phenomenal Indian food and market. The tandoori chicken dinner plate was especially good, but I’m coming back soon to try everything else!
- Craig VillamorJanuary 8, 2017Everything's good here. The anxiety of waiting for your meal is only matched by In-N-Out!
- Tavon .August 11, 2019You can either shop in the store or order in their open Chaat. It is a lovely experience and service is quick.
- Very good place for chaat (Indian snacks) with a grocery store in the front. Reasonably priced but they close early on the weekdays. Go check it out!
- CécileDecember 9, 2018Awesome indian fast food and grocery. Lots of South indian/vegetarian options.
- Odile RoujolOctober 14, 2018Try the street food seen by Vik’s, the line goes fast. An experience in itself
- Jona Rak KoceliSeptember 19, 2016Perfect boneless chicken curry special and chicken kebab. Great atmosphere!
- Arvind H.September 1, 2014Fav place for channa bhatura. But if you plan on "cutting" a cup of chai with a friend, these guys won't give you an extra cup!!!
- Aditi LuthraMay 21, 2018Love the concept, papri chaat was half tamarind chutney and needed way more spice and papdi. Dosa was okay, they have some grocery available too. Bhel puri was better
- ShinaDecember 23, 2014Always stop by for a Samosa when I'm around this part of town. They also have a great selection of sweets.
- djsSeptember 16, 2017Flavors are mindbendingly good here! Tried two chairs and vindaloo chicken - loved literally everything.
- Chaat and chicken kathi rolls (rolls only avail on weekends)
- Vanessa RoscoeApril 6, 2013Basically everything is awesome! I've had about 5 different things off their menu. It's cheap so get crazy with your friends!
- John MurrayAugust 6, 2014Masala dosa, fish curry, bhature cholle, lamb baida roti...basically everything except for that one green sauce that smells like algae.
- Chinarut RuangchotvitDecember 10, 2018order a bunch of chaats you've never heard of & eat family style w a few friends :)
- Bastian Greshake TzovarasDecember 9, 2017Amazing food, can’t wait to get back. All the food I tried so far was perfect.
- Harsha JagadishJanuary 8, 2013I think if ur in Berkeley yes head here and you won't be disappointed. Truly great food with fast and quick service.
- Shweta AgarwalJune 27, 2015A must go place!!! Expensive but worth it. If it wasn't so far away, i would go there every week!!!!
- VyomaJuly 15, 2013Lamb baida roti is the best dish ever! Also try the chicken kathi roll only available on weekends
- VarunJuly 27, 2014Very crowded on weekend, but the service is quick and food is tasty. Chicken kathi roll and uttapum were both very good.
- Alexa (@ladylexy) AndrzejewskiMay 20, 2012Try the Paper Masala Dosa - Not as big as the ones at the Valencia Dosa but great tangy flavor and perfect texture.
- Batura Cholle! It's like a bread balloon with awesome dipping sauce. Just get it. Yummmm.
- Lamb baida roti and faluda kulfi! The biryanis are great too.
- Maddie MaeAugust 12, 2016Stop by the market in the front on your way out & stock up on spices. Cheapest turmeric anywhere.
- Kris Vera-PhillipsSeptember 4, 2013Try the Keema Samosa - #kvpinmybelly Yummy fried lamb treats in #Berkeley.So hearty!!
- Shannon CoulsonAugust 30, 2016Extremely casual but very good food. I recommend the Dahi Papdi Chaat.
- Evan Henshaw-PlathOctober 25, 2021Order on the south side of the building and take it around to the north side to eat.
- Michael MontoyaSeptember 5, 2014EVERYTHING IS SO GOOD. It's worth the drive if you live far. Fast, fresh, and well priced.
- AlexFebruary 26, 2015Cool Indian street food, get the bhatura, it's like a puffed up deep fried naan.
- Lears FoolJuly 20, 2015When you order a bunch of things be prepared to be embarrassed/prideful as your name is called out several times.
- Cyril YarisantosSeptember 16, 2016The Cholle Bhature is a must have imo... and the Dahi Batata Puri!
