Surprised. This was pretty good, will add to the ol' list. Crispy sautéed shrimp tacos lived up to the other reviews, and the classic old cheese quesadilla gave me that greasy cheesy taste you want.

Very tasty California-style Mexican. Not as good as Tacubaya in the category, but solid all around. Not super authentic but unique. Crispy tacos, and burritos are standouts.
Alfajores cookies are good! The crispy tacos are also good but have compensatory cheese. Try asking for avocado slices instead of guacamole if you don't like cilantro.

This place is always infested with children. They run free without a leash and the parents let them like it's a McDonald's play area! Go after 7:45 for a more "kid free" experience.

Note that the veggie dishes take longer to make as they grill the veggies fresh.

The Crunchy Shrimp tacos, Salsa de Piña and Alfajores ( to go please!) are worth a trip from SF.
