Went with my boyfriend who needed his iPhone screen replaced. Fixed within 30 minutes. Kofi was so helpful--and a great conversationalist. Smooth experience. Still won't switch from Android though.
The briefing room isn't the most exciting until you hear how it was put together. The massive table was lifted in by crane when there was no ceiling (the floor in the main part of the store).
Park in one of the City of Santa Monica parking lots for 1.5 hours free! This Apple Store is BUSY. Wait at the table at the front/center of the store for a sales person when you know what you need!
Vibe very different than old Apple Store on the Promenade. Some of the new staff are very arrogant & act as if they're doing you a favor. I love Apple but will give my biz to the Century City store.
Genius Bar treated me very well on my two visits. Professional and VERY fast. With an appt, expect wait times up to an hour though. Place is ridiculously busy, and it does smell pretty bad, lol.
Once you enter, eye one of the blue people because once they're occupied, they won't help you until they're done. And you NEED them to check out of the store.
Always very crowded and the staff and it feels understaffed. Eventually you get help though and people seem knowledgable. Your average Apple Store I guess.
Make an appointment ahead of time and arrive 5 minutes early for a smoother experience. Also, you can pick up large purchases at the back door in the alley
Apple Store - Third St Promenade is ALWAYS chaos!!! Suggest going to other Apple Store and/or when the first open up - in the middle of the week - when it's raining out - with an appointment scheduled
I was at the Genius Bar getting help with my Apple ID and after 40 min. the Genius Bar guy said he couldn’t stay any longer w/me because he had to help other customers and left without fixing my issue
So sad I couldn't upgrade my iPhone ): Apple must think cellphones bought outside the USA doesn't have any value (even though they're absurdly expensive)...
