- Liane MinsterApril 11, 2013Great nostaglic place to share a good burger and a pint with friends or tourists. Built in 1780, the ambiance is great. They say that George Washington and Paul Revere both frequented this bar.
- Charly D'OliveNovember 15, 2016English pub feel. If doing the freedom trail end it here. Drinking in one of the oldest taverns, where George Washington and Paul R once drank should be reason enough to stop here. Get the pastrami.
- Whit BlantonOctober 26, 2021Great historic ambience complemented by friendly & attentive service. Food was excellent. Had a Guinness, cup of clam chowder and a delicious burger by the fireplace. Short walk from downtown Boston.
- BLT is my go to, often with onion rings instead of fries. Tons of draft beers. Get a Black and Tan with one of the IPAs.
- Some of the best clam chowder. Great brunch. Just all-around fantastic place. Everything I've had there is really good.
- Bill HJanuary 3, 2015Clam Chowder and Tavern Onion soups are both amazing. The chowder is full of clams. The onion soup is tasty and loaded with Gruyere cheese
- Drink the beer, say hi to John, soak up the old bar - best during midweek or daytime for chilled English pub feel. Weekend nights for something rowdier.
- Filip MaresSeptember 22, 2014Fish and Chips were awesome. Pair it with the Pumpkin seasonal ale on tap.
- Jon DarveauJune 3, 2015Really fun place, oldest tavern in Massachusetts and same place Paul Revere and George Washington once hung out in. So enjoy your beer with the ghosts of the past!
- Jake SmithJune 30, 2014Are you visiting Boston? Did you just finish walking the Freedom Trail? Did you go to the top of the Monument? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you earned a burger and beers. Order them.
- Earl Belcher JrJanuary 28, 2014Phenomenal trivia game here Monday nights starting at 8pm. Helped out a team tonight so might have to make this my Monday night hangout ;)
- QNovember 4, 2013Try the Clam Chowder! It's thick, creamy, and it will warm you up. This one has flavor, unlike many others I have tried! #Qtip
- Leslie M.November 3, 2013Favorite place to take tourist friends when we are in Charlestown. Love the Monument Salad and the haddock.
- John MagnificoJuly 1, 2011A Boston classic! So old, it has wooden shutters on the inside of the windows. Useful when you want to shield your eyes from the make-out sesh happening right outside.
- Men's Health MagNovember 8, 2011They say George Washington and Paul Revere drank at this bar built in 1780. It's full of locals, and looks like the place sailors drank themselves stupid 200 years ago. Order a Sam to keep it real.
- David KerrAugust 12, 2015Had the BLT and was lovely, a good stop off after visiting bunker hill monument.
- Stephanie Winkler-RaymondOctober 18, 2020Service was slow but all and all a great place. Pretzels were awesome!
- Earl Belcher JrJanuary 7, 2014Historic tavern, oldest in MA. Frequented by the likes of Washington, Franklin & Revere. Awesome trivia night game on Monday nights.
- EliotApril 22, 2012It's common knowledge that Bruins wing Shawn Thornton visits this place on the regular. He's a wicked nice guy, buy him a beer!
- Jennifer MinallOctober 17, 2018Have a pit stop here on your freedom trail route good sandwiches and great beer
- @BostonAttitudeDecember 22, 2011You can not get more History out of a Pint then the Warren Tavern it is a Must stop on a night out in Chuck-town!
- Leigh Anne ZinsmeisterJuly 21, 2015Great place for beers and burgers in an otherwise quiet neighborhood.
- Eric SmithOctober 9, 2011Best clam chowder I have ever had. The food and service were great. Next trip back to Boston I will be back here.
- Nicholas HJune 2, 2013Great atmosphere! But service is rather poor (most of the staff seemed new). The food was mediocre (once they finally got it all correctly to our table!) Nice to go once... But would not go back.
- Bridget RocheJanuary 15, 2012can't go wrong for a night out, but Sunday brunch at Warren is a staple for Ctown locals. Bloodies & French Toast... nom.
- Razorfish Client SummitOctober 4, 2010Having a draught of ale? You’re in good company. George Washington and Paul Revere both wet their whistles here. Check out the men’s room for the original part of the bar.
- Cole KennedyDecember 30, 2017Do not sleep on the pastrami sandwich. The thing is a salty, succulent sucker punch in the taste hole.
- Tavern Burger was delicious! I got it with sweet potato fries mmmmmm
- Matthew GaskillFebruary 3, 2013Burger has a great chargrilled flavor. Awful mobile internet service inside, but I doubt that's why you are here.
- Begin and end your Saturday Charlestown Bar Crawl here. You won't be disappointed on either end.
- Richard Vandesteeg IIAugust 14, 2010Place is sweet a must visit but don't get crab cakes unless u like a lot of breading!!!!
