- Village VoiceAugust 15, 2014The raw fish dishes are superb, and what drew us to this place originally was a report in a Japanese food blog that the ramen noodles (made with a pig-foot broth) were some of the best in town. Read more
- Adrienne CooperMarch 3, 2015Great spot w/unique eats & a wonderful staff. Menu's a little more off the beaten path w/items like duck tongue kara age but the owner will help you feel like less of a novice plus the sake is good!
- Ramen is always amazing, but locals know the “fried ramen” (not on the menu) is where it’s at. Also, if you’re really nice, you can sometimes get the owners homemade sake (his grandfather’s recipe)
- AaronJuly 30, 2014Can't read the squiggles on the menu? Is it because you're drunk? Possibly. Is it because you can't read Japanese? Well then rotate the menu 90° and you will see Pork Ramen listed on the bottom-left.
- Ajit VergheseJanuary 13, 2012RS says: Try the Chashu Ramen. Pub grub at its Japanese best, "Only one ramen is offered and is based in a murky pig-foot broth that tastes like it's been boiled for three years. Plenty of pork, too."
- Wesley BlissSeptember 2, 2015Quirky little Japanese izakaya themed after old American rock albums, decorated like you're outside an old world Japanese house. Small menu, but tasty.
- Like you're in a Tokyo side street. Excellent chasui ramen. And try the family sake that come comes in a square cup.

- Caitlin OsbahrJuly 12, 2018A good katsu sandwich but the air was smoky enough to hurt my eyes and leave early 😓
- Hidden gem! My faves are ramen-- pork is melt-in-mouth and love the ginger they put in it. Spicy tuna roll. Buta-kimchee. Gyoza.
- Tif C.October 7, 2015Cute spot and really good gyoza. Seems like a nice low key place. The ramen was just ok- wouldn't come here for that. Great service though.
- Christen DuongAugust 27, 2011Most Murakami-esque spot. Order the ramen that's not on the menu, and put something on the jukebox.
