The lovely wrap-around patio suits the plates coming out of the kitchen, like a Wagyu steak and eggs plate, artichoketarragonomelette, vegetable frittata, and blueberrybuckwheat pancakes. Read more
Great food & good place for breakfast meeting. The BuckwheatBlueberry pancakes are a must try. Get there early because it gets crowded & they do not take reservations.
Despite the upscaled prices, there’s still something homey and downright satisfying about Bruce Marder’s own Cora’s Coffee Shoppe on Ocean Avenue. Don’t skip on the pancakes. Read more
The Caprese Omelet was good and breakfast sandwich was huge. Would never order the potato again…0 for 2 on that one. Coffee was great, carry-out was efficient. Dine-in was extremely slow.
Go early and don't bring a large group and perhaps your wait won't be too long. But it's worth it. I've had the orangepancakes (more cakey than flapjacky) and the lamb ragu. Great place!
Some of the best brunches I've ever had have been at this charming yet unassuming location. Delicious orangepancakes, cappuccinos, omelettes, polenta & italian sausage... I'm salivating already.
Huevos rancheros and excellent espresso drinks make Cora's my favorite post-surfing breakfast joint...but you don't have to freeze in the polluted waters of our bay to groove on this A+ breakfast.
Go to Cora's; sit inside at the counter with an LA TIMES, and order the Burrata Caprese Omelette. And be sure to ask for the homemade Jams. Also outstanding: OrangePancakes :)
Great food. Just sometimes the waiters are smarmy. And God forbid don't stray even a few feet from the waiting list. They anemically call names, they hardly try. & then cross the name off. They won't
Slow, sullen service w/an attitude. Egg whitefrittata good but expensive. My server did not mention specials. When I told him that I had spilled s.th he said he would clean up but didn't . Ehh!
