- ShahFebruary 12, 2018This must be where strawberry rhubarb pies go when they die. Absolutely heavenly, best I’ve ever had. The biscuits & sausage (with gravy) was delicious too. Can’t wait to come back for another slice!
- Debra OdomMarch 31, 2019This is the right name for this restaurant. I got a slice of Sweet Potato pie and my hubby got the Carrot cake. We both melted in our seats. Delicious. Ate my pie before taking a picture.
- This is the location with the front area for seating (noted for myself for the future). Always busy on Friday and Saturday nights, but worth the wait. The Pippin Apple is the best apple pie around.
- Blair AllenAugust 22, 2018The food at House of Pies is “mehhh,” but the pie is where it’s at! Highly recommend a slice of Strawberry Rhubarb and a cup of coffee for an utterly satisfying any time snack.

- pleterikaDecember 28, 2015I just have to say they have the best eggs I have ever had... The omelet with shrimp is something I wouldn't have ever thought of mixing... Yet... Wow.... Love this place.
- Pippin apple, lemon icebox, french silk, bayou goo, and banana cream are all amazing! The food is excellent. Three cheese grilled cheese.
- Houston PressAugust 4, 2014This old-fashioned diner, open 24/7, serves big breakfasts and simple comfort food all day long. Read more
- Jinnie LApril 26, 2015classic 24hr diner but food was pretty good!! (way better than denny's) I'm not a pie person, most of time I don't get pie for dessert or eat pie in general.. but bayou goo pies was good♡
- Christy LandesDecember 22, 2014Very good breakfast and service. Hot biscuits were the best, as well as eggs cooked right. Better omelets to be had close by at Avalon Diner...
- Narrow tables...not great if you're overweight..it's tight for me, but some of my really large friends just can't fit in! Chicken fried steak and eggs are my fave and club sandwich and Chocolate Silk!
- Diana HeardOctober 5, 2015I usually get breakfast at the House of Pies-- hash browns are always a win and their Belgian waffle will make you cry.
- Olga RiosOctober 13, 2015Never been disappointed with the food! Waffle with bananas & pecans is the best!
- FINALLY open once again.... the new seating area is great! And.... they even have a patio!
- Rawad AlawarOctober 3, 2016Perfect place for cheap food after a night out. For the low carb people out there, they have a giant chicken breast salad
- I love the Country and Club breakfasts as well as the Acapulo omelette.
- L bombAugust 12, 2016Although getting a whole pie is better $ value, if you're in a hotel it won't fit and you can't eat the whole thing in one sitting with less than 3 people.
- The grilled three cheese is the best grilled cheese I've ever had and has had me coming back for over 15 years. The Dutch apple pie and the cheesecake are also amazing.
- Pies are amazing! I even ordered them for my wedding! Lemon ice box is amazing.
- Deborah GobelJuly 28, 2019Pie is the word but the food is not bad either! Pie is to die for though!!
- Get the French toast - you'll regret it if you don't! Also, two words: bayou goo.
- Debra SchultzFebruary 6, 2023Check what you receive! I ordered peach pie to go but when I got home, I had pecan pie.
- Sam is the best server! Always upbeat and takes care of us well.
- RussellOctober 27, 2013The food is great if you can get passed the old building smell of it. The cheesecake is awesome
- Everything I've had here is delicious. Bayou Goo is my favorite pie here; French blackbottom is great also.
- Jess VillasanaAugust 28, 2012What you expect when you walk into the place is what you get. Prices, fair. Patrons, chill. The staff delivers. Quintessential diner experience after 2 AM when bars close.
- The hot chocolate is kind of crazy the way they serve it. You won't need a slice of pie.
- Try the breakfast specials. They're only available during the week, not on weekends or holidays. Great prices!
- Breakfast here is always the best (especially if you've been drinking). I've always been particularly fond of the sausage scrambler.
- Omlettes & Monte Cristo sandwich are great. Must have coffee & pie: cherry a la mode, bayou goo, & lemon icebox are great.
- Buy a whole pie. Less than the cost of 3 slices and you know you want to.
- Love their tuna melts with a side of tatter tots. Hits the spot every time
- Ashly Mcvea FigueroaJuly 14, 2013The Belgian waffle is to die for..the whipped butter is just the icing on the cake.
- Stephanie S.May 20, 2013Don't get pissed and leave cause the line looks never ending! Patience is a virtue, especially here. They seat lightning fast!
- Phillip PyleJuly 12, 2012The black girl that is hostess has been working here since 1996! She has to have an interesting story!
- Sassy waitresses and amazing turtle cheesecake! Love this place for late nights!
- Ashley EApril 23, 2012I've been coming here since.......forever I love how you can eat Delish Comfort Food Day& Night
- Try one of their many omelettes. My favorite is the chili cheese omelettes. Definitely will fill you up.
- Chadwick 😎November 23, 2012Try the Sausage, Diced Ham, & Cheese Omelette - Sausage & Diced Ham Omelette, topped with gravy.
