- Tasting TableNovember 17, 2014Check the blackboard for the day's oyster selection and know this: If it's there, it's probably from the East Coast and it's almost certainly delicious. Don't forget to stop by the raw bar. Read more
- The Corcoran GroupAugust 6, 2013Brick chicken, marrow bones, and oysters are all dishes that send Manhattanites running over the Williamsburg bridge to try this restaurant. We think their lattes are worth the bridge run!
- NicolaFebruary 17, 2015This place is just amazing. Food is simple and very tasty, great to go with the French natural wines on the list or with the cocktails from the bar. Very prof staff helps a lot!
- Sit outside on a nice day during off hours (3-5pm) and order a cheese plate and some wine. Perfection.
- Melissa WeissMay 23, 2016Adorable, nice indoor and outdoor space. Not single vegan option though. Go for the almond cortado and hang with your omnivore friends
- Condé Nast TravelerOctober 25, 2016"There's a great tortilla Española and reliably wonderful brick chicken, a clever list of natural wines, and probably the best playlist of any restaurant in NYC (well, if you like disco).” - Gabe Ulla Read more
- Rory ParnessDecember 27, 2014Whatever main you choose (they are all good), get an order of the Brussels sprouts. Lightly fried and sprinkled with Parmesan. Don't forget to pick up a bag of pastries on your way out. They're free!
- Jackie FerrerOctober 29, 2013Insider tip: if there is a brown bag by the door snag it on your way out for an after dinner treat as it is free DELICIOUS baked goods from the day. This menu is fantastic and it changes daily.
- Ben K.October 4, 2014There's a reason this place has been a Williamsburg staple for sometime. Excellent cocktails, but most importantly incredible food and experience. Order several starters and the brick chicken.
- Kat CJuly 2, 2016Love the crispy rice bowl, sausage, egg and cheese biscuit, iced chai latte, and great pastries, particularly any scone with clotted cream and jam.
- Jordan MJanuary 7, 2013The oysters & brick chicken are always excellent but if you make it in for brunch, the squid ink farro is quite special.
- This place is so awesome you can be sure to have an amazing meal if you do exactly as I say: start with some oysters, them get the crostini, a salad and or soup, the pasta, and any protein of the day.
- I stopped in here for iced coffee and the guy behind the counter was super nice! Also, they have almond milk and oat milk for anyone who likes milk alternatives!! :)
- vivan thi tangOctober 19, 2012without a doubt, a nyc fave.. ALWAYS! from the oysters to the tortilla de patata to the salads to the brick chicken to the pastas to the chocolate caramel tart with sea salt to the breakfast biscuit!
- The Corcoran GroupFebruary 22, 2011We love this place! You must get the Chicken Liver Pate and a whole lot of oysters to start. The dinner specials change daily, and we recommend ordering one of them.
- A Williamsburg institution. Friendly staff and high quality ingredients. Brunch is fantastic. Recommend the biscuit and eggs as a primer -- the scones and spinach pie are among the best in NYC!
- Joo JooApril 30, 2015Earl grey scone was so good, sautéed greens/soft boiled eggs/ sausage egg cheese ( tiny size. Like weirdly small. but with REALLY good biscuits. ) all v good and will def come back
- Leah HammerschlagOctober 21, 2015Love this place. Perfect for all occasions. Enjoyed everything. The "Bianca pizza" is basically an overpriced plain focaccia, yet it was so good we got a 2nd order.
- Jen KatanMarch 28, 2016This food was gorgeous, and it's got a great nautical feeling/trendy vibe (apparently historically an oyster bar). The service can with a large whiff of snubbery though.
- HankAugust 20, 2016Went for lunch. It's counter service with food brought to table. Liver pate, Potato tortilla (not sure why it's called that, it's like a cake) and salami's were delicious.
- Alex BosworthNovember 4, 2018Once upon a time this was a very hip and interesting place to eat but its hipster identity feels a bit dated now. The food is fine still but it’s not really pushing any new ideas forward
- Jen KatanMarch 29, 2016Food was local, fresh, gorgeous, a great nautical feeling/trendy vibe (apparently historically an oyster bar). The service can with a large whiff of pretentiousness though.
- Everything is always amazing. Whiskey selection is impressive. And if you're an LCD Soundsystem fan, this is the place they have the final dinner in "Shut Up and Play the Hits".
- Jim TaylorApril 9, 2015Love the restaurant in back for a cozy, dimly lit brunch or dinner, and the welcoming, homey front shop for some of our favorite coffee in town. Read more
- Andrea BarrezuetaNovember 10, 2014Really nice meal and great location for a date. Go for the pork over the chicken. Both are great but the pork is by far a better meal altogether
- Leah OzJuly 2, 2017If you happen to be here for lunch, the crispy rice bowl is the perfect meal. And their chocolate chip cookie is the best I've had in New York!
- Colton StaabApril 7, 2019Innovative farm-to-table cuisine that rotates weekly. This week was Asian-inspired and everything was spectacular. Highly recommend the white fish katsu
- Tasting TableAugust 5, 2014Check the blackboard for the day's oyster selection and know this: If it's there, it's probably from the East Coast, and it's almost certainly delicious. Read more
- BasakFebruary 3, 2016One of my favorite date spots with delicious cocktails. Start with potato tortilla and meat plate.
- CharlottesApril 30, 2017Super good feels about this place. Freshest of oysters, divine beef tartare, buratta and funky natural wine. What more could a girl want?
- Mamie RheingoldOctober 2, 2012The Shadowfax was a perfect drink. A delicate balance of whisky, Earl Greg and egg white. Not too sweet, not too strong. Not too much of anything -- except possibly too good.
- A neighborhood staple of mine. The eggs are great. Try the crispy rice bowl to change it up, also so good!
- Love the baked goods here especially when they make multiple cakes with same ingredients yet so so different. Today was coconut! My fab apart fr rhubarb!
- Katie StoneDecember 8, 2019The egg & rice bowl is awesome as is the Bloody Mary. Lovely atmosphere, service fab. Definitely a great place for brunch.
- Morning coffee and baked goods are the best. The oysters and brick chicken are their staples. But keep an eye out for specials.
- Bill B.June 16, 2011Reasonable amount of social conscience without hitting you over the head with it. Steak looks well rested, it's a beautiful thing & they serve ribeye, the king of steaks- it's fatty, tasty, delicious.
- Julian FerdmanJanuary 4, 2015This is the best cafe in williamsburg for pastries and food, and it's not close.
- AmateurConciergeJanuary 16, 2019Pork cutlet, however used, is always good. Chicken Soup is light and spicy....despite its size, not really enough for a meal
- Silvia Butta CaliceJanuary 6, 2015Best place to eat in Williamsburg! I had the best poached egg with roasted squash! It is a must go place!
- Cheryl NguyenApril 30, 2013The brick chicken will leave you impressed with the tender unctiousness that's possible with bird. So incredible
- Lindsay EyinkMay 11, 2013They serve Four Barrel coffee and the honey butter biscuit will make your heart melt.
- JillianJanuary 31, 2017The sweet potato + eggs with tahini, wow. Got a rosemary Meyer lemon bread pudding to go, good move 👌🏼
- Matt RabinovitchJune 10, 2014Great food, great service. Get the brick chicken and the beer with lemonade. This place knows how to make a dish.
- Julius TarngNovember 27, 2014Food is solid but really don't dig the wait staff vibes. They know they're good and it's always a long wait with curt service.
