- TaylorOctober 5, 2013Just once during the show, walk all the way to the top to take it all in for a minute. And then go back to your seat and rock out.Upvoted 3 weeks ago
- Ellen DeGeneresOctober 19, 2011I love Hollywood, & I love bowls, so this is 1 of my favorite places to see a concert. Make sure to bring something to keep you warm, 'cause it gets cold! Portia brought a blanket. I brought tequila.
- Rebecca BalnisOctober 18, 2017Take a ride with your best friend to see Depeche Mode at the Hollywood bowl. Then reach out and touch faith or Dave Gahan, whichevers closer.Upvoted 3 weeks ago
- Veronica ChaviraAugust 4, 2018Perfect outdoor venue in the hustle and bustle of Hollywood. Park and ride offered throughout LA county as it is stacked parking. Orchestra seating have the best views. Picnic basket encouraged.
- David BradshawJune 16, 2014Acoustics were great even sitting in the middle section. Consider padding for sitting. Great view of Hollywood sign from middle seats. Parking easier than expected.
- Always an amazing experience. Skip parking and grab a lyft to drop you off. But order your ride home down the street past the food vendors. You know you want a hot dog!
- Jason H.August 23, 2015Amazing outdoor concert experience. See pretty much any performer and have a great time. Arrive early and bring or order dinner before the show. One of the best things to do in LA.
- g oconnorAugust 13, 2015The Rooftop Grill has Soju cocktails this season. A delightful alternative to vodka Soju is distilled from barley malt and is neutral in flavor. At 35% ETOH it is 70 proof.
- People generally save on parking by parking at Hollywood & Highland & getting validation for 4 hrs from one of the businesses. The uphill walk is good for you-downhill after the show even better!
- Rebecca BalnisFebruary 26, 2020Private booth seats have tables so pack a picnic. Packing a couple bottles of wine means less waiting on drinks and more dancing to the music you love!
- Awesome and unforgettable venue that feels very much like the soul of summer in LA. As annoying as stacked parking is you’ll keep coming back for concert after concert, year after year.
- The best outdoor venue in the area. Highly recommend. I also recommend taking a shuttle instead of parking at the venue. I took one from the LA Zoo. Bring your food and beverages too!
- The Atmosphere is Wonderful! I wish the Super seats expanded to more of the benches! People can bring food & drink & have a fun evening. $$ are reasonable for any wallet
- KatrinaJanuary 27, 2015At least once in your life, you should enjoy a concert here. Outdoor, clear sky, bring your own food & wine and just listen to the great artists on stage. Best place in LA for a concert! <3
- Best place to see a concert, hands down. Scenic backdrop, amazing weather and sometimes you can BYOB. Couldn't ask for better
- JD MaloneSeptember 9, 2017If you're in LA you must visit at least once. Usually one of the cheapest venues around and the history at this place is amazing.
- Green is UniversalNovember 18, 2011Enjoy a show at this renowned venue. Afterwards, cruise over to the Hollywood Bowl Overlook at 7036 Mullhulland Dr. for some of the best views LA has to offer, preserved as a park for all to enjoy!
- Melissa PolinarSeptember 26, 2015Iconic venue in the greater Los Angeles area. Make sure to arrive extra early for parking, walking, and navigating through the vicinity. I'd highly recommend seeing established acts and/festivals.
- Roger VadoczMay 1, 2015they only have a few shows a year that I would actually go to, it's usually the LA Philharmonic or something but it is a classic venue one of those places you need to see once
- Michael KalecFebruary 1, 2017Quite possibly the best concert place to see a show. Under the stars with a beautiful surrounding. It's worth it to spring for closer seats, but every seat is good.
- Such amazing shows, and you can bring your own picnic food! Never park there though, it's an absolute traffic nightmare. Park at Hollywood/Highland and walk 15 minutes to the bowl.
- Anthony RequiaDecember 14, 2015Probably the best music venue in LA. The acoustics are unreal and there isn't a bad seat in the house. You can bring your own food and wine too!
- Biola UniversitySeptember 14, 2011One of the best concert venues in the area, the historic Hollywood Bowl is a great venue throughout the summer and fall. Bring a picnic meal, park at one of the satellite locations & enjoy the music!

- Hillary NoelleApril 13, 2015One of the few auditorium style concert venues that I enjoy. I saw 9 inch nails and Soundgarden here and had the best time. It goes without saying that the food and drinks are overpriced.
- g oconnorAugust 13, 2015The Rooftop Grill has new Soju Cocktails this season. This one, the Sparkling Spectacular is delightful when paired with the Gazpacho.
- Do yourself a favor and go to a regular bowl event. Pack a picnic lunch or dinner, get there early and bring some wine!
- Mike ShulmanOctober 21, 2017Use the "Park and Ride" remote parking lots & take their bus to the Bowl. Tickets are cheaper than parking on site and you avoid the hassle of the stacked parking lots at the bowl.
- Francois JollesJuly 30, 2010You can always buy a last minute seat for $8 or $12. After the concert starts, you can move to empty seats in the more expensive rows and enjoy a very nice concert for a very affordable price. Bring y
- PeopleMay 31, 2011Catch your favorite band, bring a picnic and enjoy the view of the Hollywood Hills at this iconic amphitheater, which is *the* summer spot to rock out alongside stars like Drew Barrymore.
- lunaniAugust 24, 2014Park for free at one of the ride and park metro lots and take the shuttle in. Present your Tap card for free shuttle (otherwise $5 each)
- laurie hickeyAugust 2, 2013LOVE going to anything here! You can bring food and picnic on the grounds. Some shows allow you to bring food into the bowl. Great date place! Recommend taking advantage of shuttles and subway!
- Connie ChiuMay 29, 2016Such a beautiful music venue with a sunset backdrop. Love that you can bring in food and sneak in wine ;) do park and ride for transportation.
- Use the stacked parking! It's the perfect excuse to linger under the stars and spend time with special people! Your car will still be there when you arrive.
- Joshua Van DykFebruary 22, 2016Joshua Van Dyk thinks this place is awesome for concerts. You can bring in your own drinks and snacks. Great for a date or a group of friends.
- Kristen caseJuly 9, 2017No matter how long I lived in LA for seriously I can sit in the back which I have sat everywhere .You still see everything , you don't miss anything love that place .
- Ilusha ZaritskiyAugust 30, 2014Byo...just about anything: beer, wine, hard stuff, glass is fine (just about every night) double check with the super friendly box office. Also try to get first row seats: to get a makeshift table.
- This is my favorite concert venue in the world! I've seen rock, jazz, country, musicals and more. It's totally an LA experience that everyone should do at least once...or 50 times like me!
- Enjoy the music during a warm summer (aug) night over dinner/wine, it just might be the best way to take in a concert! ever. Tip: no outside glass allowed, so pack wine in a water bottle.
- Kiana LynnSeptember 28, 2015Legendary venue for a reason other than its past artists. Beautiful. Con: I'm sure it's due for a fire code violation or 12. Holds 17k people with one exit, one shit show away from a stampede.
- Ibie IbáñezJune 27, 2017Went to see Jason Mraz. You should know you can take your own food, great cuz inside it's a little expensive. My place had a great view to the Hollywood sign.
- Joseph QuintanaJuly 17, 2013Loved the Bowl, we could bring our own food and drinks in and even have inns and outs to meet the musicians. Very awesome experience.
- For leased events where alcohol is a no go: One of the Hollywood bowl sports bottles (which are allowed) can fit an entire bottle of wine. Or so I've been told...
- Y-Lan NguyenAugust 25, 2015Lovely way to spend a summer evening. Feel free to bring wine and a picnic basket. Save yourself from the venue's awful stacked parking though by taking a shuttle.
- Samantha IlyceSeptember 6, 2011It isn't summer in LA without at least one concert here! Make sure though what the rules are on a given night on alchol, most nights you can bring in your own wine!
- Steve KushnirApril 27, 2015they don't have events here that often that I go to see, but this is a historic landmark and the sound is always incredible. make sure you are per peer for an hour worth of traffic.
- The plastic water bottles they sell in the gift shop can hold a bottle of wine. Get one if you're at a leased event that doesn't allow wine bottles to sneak in your beverage of choice.
