The last gasping remnants of SF arts culture are it’s historic music venues. Warfield is lovely. Loud and clear sound + spacious multi-tiered floor + steep mezzanine = good view from everywhere.
I've never been in the balcony, but I've always had great experiences on the floor. The venue is on the semi-sketchy part of Market St, so just be aware if you're walking alone.
My favorite large venue in San Fran. Park at the large parking lot nearby or take BART, don't try for street parking. Don't worry about where you're sitting, it's a great view from anywhere.
Architecturally beautiful inside, this nearly 100-year-old former vaudeville theater stands out among venues. Buy your GA tickets early, they sell it fast.
Drinks are expensive. They can only make the basic cocktails for $13. Careful when you go. You might end up getting balcony seating if you are going for an edm thing. Also, edm stuff ends around 11:30
I had a bite of my GFs panini sandwich she bought at Warfield and it ripped the inside of my mouth like a razor blade. Went to the first aid booth bleeding profusely and the geniuses there gave me gum
Beautiful venue, decent bartenders though overpriced drinks. Floor staff/security are kind of dicks - wouldn't let me sit down in back for even a minute when I'd just gotten injured down in front.

$18 for a cocktail? Come on people! Also, why must the staff in General Admission be so rude? Would only come here if a band I reaaaally want to see is playing.
The Warfield is a 2250 person venue and has been a San Francisco institution for 86 years. The Warfield continues to be the heart and soul of the SF music scene and hosts the best concerts and events.
