Joe CMay 13, 2015I freaking love coming here when I'm in town. The chowder is some of the best I've ever had, and the fish & chips are great. I know everyone says to get a Guinness, but go Harpoon here

Classic feel of an Irish pub with several UK beers on tap (Guinness, Belhaven, Harp, O'Hara's, Smithwick's). Live events in both front and back rooms. Also, very vegetarian-friendly menu!
The Somerville Road Runners host a 3-mile run starting from here every Monday evening at 6:45. Good route and free food (beef stew & veggie pasta) afterward!

I don't know how or why, but they probably have the best tasting Smithwicks in all of Boston. Bartenders are also super charming and great to chat up!
