This large, wholly unpretentious family-owned spot is cluttered with fascinating bar junk, pours an impressive array of beers and serves meals from its cafeteria-style buffet. Read more

The stick-to-your-ribs hofbrau fare, like hand-carved sandwiches piled high with your choice of meat or classic buffalo stew, make for a perfect pairing with a cold Anchor Steam. Read more

It’s inexpensive, it’s good and it serves both the famous and not-so-famous; and it’s open nearly as late as area bars so it’s a great place for an after-midnight pig-out. Read more

Corned beef is this week's trending taste and there is no better place in the Bay Area than Tommy's. Their huge portions are one of the many reasons they are on our list of Best Corned Beef in SF. Read more

I have been coming here for 65 years. Still great. The building used to stand alone and was striking in its gaudy way. Now it is lost among encroaching buildings.

SF classic. Hofbrau queue. Meat artfully plopped atop your choice of sides (potato salad, cole slaw, bean salad etc). You grab your tray, load up a few free pickles and find your seat. Get beer.

Don't kid yourself, get the brisket - either a meal or sandwich. Get extra BBQ sauce if ordering to go. Cucumber/tomato salad is key. Baked potatoes and the most filling stuffing you've ever had.

Everything's great here, but I'm partial to the corned beef. Everything is sliced right in front of you and bread is always fresh. Don't miss the big barrel of dill pickle chips past the register!

Really enjoy their Turkey sandwich. Went late in the evening, and they had a fresh turkey, which they opened to make a sandwich. They give you a side of au ju sauce to go with the sandwich.

Amazing craft beer selection! Enjoyed a brisket platter. Cole slaw and potato salad are solid sides. Dont get the bread roll though -- you could kill someone w it if you throw it hard enough

$6 for a sandwich. Walked into this place and saw how they cut the meat in front of you. It's was so good and tender, left me in a good coma. Sandwich is just roll/bread with meat. Ask for cheese

Great food served cafeteria style and a bar. Get in line for your food first, find a seat and then order your drinks from the waitress. Awesome. Try the sloppy joe. It's turkey.

$6 Pastrami on sourdough, and a $13 pitcher of whatever's on draft (we recommend the full boar whiskey beer) aka the OG San Francisco treat and a killer date night.

Even as a die hard Lefty's fan, I think that Tommy's has my favorite corned beef sandwich in the city. Also, super convenient to grab a bite before heading to AMC 1000 across the street for a flick.
