The beef stroganoff is hands down one of my favorite things I’ve ever eaten. Worth the visit and the expense for that stroganoff alone.

Try the Cavitini with Imperial Vodka made from wheat and rye served dry, chilled and up with 10-grams Hackleback Caviar and olives. It's a classic Russian cocktail and absolutely delicious.

Teas are amazing. Try to come for the afternoon tea where you get scones and pastries. Decor is very lavish and old Russian. Def a nyc must see.

Sasha is the best waiter for Russian customers, and it's not that many of them at all! This place has the least Russian food, but nice atmosphere and good service. Try the pancakes with red fish

Cool to see the interior decor, but the afternoon tea is beyond average. The cupcakes tasted like they were from a multipack at the local deli. Just come to have a drink and then eat elsewhere.

ESCARGOT: delicious - slices of garlic were a great touch to the dish, but not amazing due to excess use of salt.

Established 1927 by former Russian Imperial Ballet members. Crossed the street 1929 to brownstone from 1875. Building remodeled in 2006, retaining restaurant as original. Frequented by celebrities.

The French Onion Soup was OK; the Beef Stroganoff would have been good (though way overpriced) if it hadn't been *so* overwhelmed with the truffle. It was so strong it was nauseating. Avoid, too $$$
