- I come here because I'm new to this city and don't know other bars to take people...but it's a fun place with outdoor seating and at this exact moment, an awesome Giants game. It's a fun place!
- Came here 3 times while staying at Hotel Triton around the corner. Loved the atmosphere and the food. A few awesome vegetarian options.....the curry was my favorite (order it spicy!)
- This is a great place to go after work. Good food + solid drink pricing. The staff is always friendly as well. Sit outside on a nice day.
- Neighborhood staple, old boy feel. Decent food and the staff are super cool.
- Outdoor seating is a winner, in particular if you're a smoker, if you know what I mean...

- The Corcoran GroupJune 19, 2011Grab a seat outside at this romantic Irish Pub and order up a perfectly poured Guinness and delicious Fish and Chip or Shepherd’s pie.
- Caroline DengJanuary 17, 2016Grab the Magner's Hard Cider on tap, or a Long Island. They also have an interesting confessional booth which I imagine has quite a few interesting stories.
- xxx bebebeApril 4, 2014The Irish writers go not under appreciated overlooking the tinder crowds that sip Guinness drafts
- Justin SedgwickAugust 10, 2018Bartender & I got into a dispute about the check. I throw a beer in his face and get kicked out. He finds me later and assaults me, punching me in face and kicking. Currently pressing charges
- Rob BlakeDecember 15, 2010Bartenders are efficient but not smiley...atmosphere is great...blue cheese fries totally rock...can't go wrong with Shepard's Pie...overall good place to burn a night!
- My new favorite. Nice array of beers. Option of outdoor and indoor. Good ambiance. Good food.
- Giant alleyway patio is no frills but always a great time.
- Fish and chips are bomb! Ask for dice if you wanna play 1,4,24. The sink and hand dryer in the men's bathroom stall is a nice touch. Go make friends!
- If you don't like pilsner, dark, or light beer, order a Mirror Pond on tap. Goes good with just about anything.
- Cathy AllenApril 12, 2013Cool place in a great location. If you are not sitting at the bar... Be prepared for SLOW service!
- Beeeeeeeeeer. Comfort food is great, but the quality is meh. This place feels authentic and community-driven
- Niki Katherine HolmesApril 1, 2013Wondering what "the confessional" is? It's the private/enclosed secret booth just past the bar area. Best seat in the house!
- Jake StrawnApril 17, 2010Found this place just a block from my hotel, and love the outdoor seating, fun atmosphere... will be visiting here multiple times during my stay!!
- Liz WhyteDecember 30, 2012Awesome Irish bar tucked away in an alley but filled with a good offering of Scotches, Whiskeys and Bourbons.
- Ryan TomaykoJanuary 6, 2010Get The Banger -- with mashed, not fries (duh) -- and a side of Irish bacon. Wash it down with a Basil Haden's and as many Smithwicks as you require.
- Robin SayerOctober 18, 2011Great bar for an Irish breakfast in the middle of the city. Dont be put off by the outside.
