- Tina WongSeptember 27, 2014The dim sum is cheap and pretty fresh. Very popular with the locals and tourists since staff understand and can communicate well enough in English.Upvoted Mar 25
- Thalia GuilermoMay 14, 2017Best place to have dim sum. Love all the food, The service is great and the price is fair.
- If you want to splurge on a delicious dish, request them to bake you a whole chicken in rock salt. It takes some time, but that chicken comes out super moist and flavorful!
- Ben K.July 17, 2012Typically less crowded than the mega dim sum joints like Jing Fong and Golden Unicorn and the food is just as good. Get the pork buns, shrimp har gow, pork shumei, and lo mai gai.
- jon ferrerAugust 23, 2014surprisingly I had my favorite dim sum meal in Manhattan Chinatown in the last 5 years here. sit by the kitchen door so you're close to the fresh carts.
- PattyJuly 17, 2012My favorite dim sum spot. They will speak to you in chinese regardless. Order the stuffed pepper with shrimp - it has a layer of overcooked rice which is amazing. Fried tofu is surprisingly excellent!
- The Corcoran GroupApril 21, 2011This is one of our favorite places for Sunday Dim Sum – the food is always hot and delicious, we love the pork buns and radish cake. Ignore the inevitable language barrier.
- 💎TDecember 3, 2014One of the best Chinese restaurants in the city. The best way to dine here is to come with a large group and to always listen to your waiter!
- Sonny KwokDecember 28, 2015Dim sum is great here, but be ready to pack it in, their table is small, I got upset when they put our party of 10 on a 8 top, then I realize the next table had 13 people.
- Paige CDecember 11, 2014Definitely come for Dim Sum brunch! And don't miss some of their other special delicacies!
- KarenFebruary 25, 2023Service was excellent and the dim sum as good as anywhere else. Seating is a bit tight. No passed carts.
- Guest of a GuestJanuary 23, 2012Whether you go in the mornings for dim sum or later for dinner (with the option to dine on fish fresh from the tanks), Ping's is guaranteed to satisfy your appetite for great Chinese food. Read more
- Kevin CallananAugust 22, 2012Amazing food. Best in NYC. I lived in China for two years and NYC most of my life. Hands down best place to eat in NYC.
- Polina WeitzMarch 31Casual dim sum spot, with many seafood options. Solid har gao and amazing bacon-wrapped shrimp.
- John AJanuary 18, 2015Good dim sum, including vegetarian options. Crowded on weekends but they will allow you to share a table. Takes credit cards.
- amooliaAugust 7, 2011Jumbo prawns in creamy sauce with fried milk balls is the ultimate yum. & just a FYI if you can make it out there the Ping's in Elmhurst is about a third cheaper across the board!
- Sarah LeeJanuary 19, 2013Best place for dim sum and cheap, well worth it. If you're looking for a good spot for dim sum, this is the place to be.
- Andrew C.June 15, 2016Dim sum is solid. Nice to see a place with carts still being pushed around. Congee is really good.
- DaynaApril 2, 2012The tofu with fresh mushrooms in a hot clay pot is literally heaven. Ask for it with an extra side of steamed Chinese broccoli.
- Alex ValichMarch 19, 2012If you want to get in on some weekend Dim Sum make sure to get there with a party smaller than 6 people before 12 noon or you are in for an hour wait
- Wen Seng LieSeptember 10, 2015Ping serves decent dimsum every morning. Good for family. Be aware that they have different portion for each menu. Staffs are nasty. Some did not wash their hands after number one
- Shannon DavenportNovember 25, 2012Do not miss the warm crispy sesame ball for dessert, it's perfection (and a favorite of the owner).
- Losninos WillyJune 18, 2013I didn't get a word of the waiter but that's part of the fun. Wait for dishes to pass by instead of ordering from the menu. The menu of the day is at 5.95, a good option too, quality not super then.
- FionaDecember 18, 2014Flounder two ways is heavenly but since it's MP, the dish can be anywhere from $40 to $80
- Elena V.February 26, 2011They have great pineapple buns for dim sum (they actually contain real pineapple). Ask for them upfront as they tend to run out.
- R JamesDecember 11, 2014"Seafood Parsley Dumpling" : "Bland" , "Shrimp Fried Roll" : "Soft & Juicy" , "Price" : 9.25
- Bob ScottMay 22, 2010Great seafood Chinese style. We ordered many things on the menu. Served family style for our group of 12. definitely going back again.
- Sally SchmidtMarch 1, 2010Fried oysters & Green Jade Fried rice are tops, but the crowds come for the weekend Dim Sum which is outstanding. Best/freshest seafood in chinatown.
- Allen YangAugust 7, 2014Reasonably good dimsum, just one small step below Golden Unicorn and Jing Fong. They don't really have carts though, just ordering off a menu.
- SuYeone JeonNovember 13, 2016Staff are friendly but compared to other dim sum places, it's not the best in the area.
- Wdychen NYCJanuary 26, 2014Been here a few times for dimsum, still prefer Nom Wah and Golden Unicorn. < two of my fav!
- Berk KapiciogluNovember 15, 2014I had the dim sum. It was ok. Then we ordered duck and we were finally satisfied. Staff doesn't speak English.
- An XiaoApril 21, 2010My favorite dim sum spot in Chinatown. Save room for the seafood options (duh), especially the shrimp dishes.
- Russell HirschornDecember 28, 2015Decent dumpling selection at best. Duck was well served but def on the expensive side. There are better dim sum options.
