- Gina BucknerAugust 10, 2014Lobster Ravioli, calamari, seafood linguini, special sweet potato gnocchi with duck confit, this restaurant has some of the best Italian food I've ever had and I am a foodie with and Italian family.
- Almost don't want to leave a tip because this is the best Italian in Boston and I want it all to myself. Everything I've tried here is great, but Fra Diavolo and shrimp might be my favorite meal.
- Elspeth MacmillanFebruary 21, 2023Owners of Kava Taverna & Ilona took over the old Giacomos, gave it a much needed facelift with cozy modern vibes & a great menu! Share a number of plates between friends.
- MegOctober 4, 2012Everything is good, and I never say that. The scampi is one of the best I've ever had. The specials always blow my mind. It is absolutely worth the wait. Make sure you bring cash!
- Chet ThakerNovember 7, 2018I had the butternut squash ravioli which was very tasty. Looking around at other tables it’s seems like you can order anything and it will be good.
- Never had the food but my family used to own the building until the early 90's . I lived on the 1st for floor for a time and worked in old shoe shop and Mel Kings office that was there . Memories
- SSeptember 26, 2014The lobster ravioli is great. Good Italian food at reasonable prices. Portions are huge so you might wanna share. Reservations recommended.
- KaitlinJanuary 19, 2016Cash only, and likely a line to wait in, but it's delicious and authentic Italian!
- Gordon FowlerFebruary 14, 2013Since we moved into the neighborhood, this is our "go to" restaurant. Great food, great staff and great food.
- ChrisNovember 19, 2011Best Italian food I've had in Boston. Sure it sucks when there's a wait (nearly always) and that they don't accept plastic but plan ahead and have a great meal.
- Youngmin KimMarch 14, 2019I would die with their lobster ravioli and pasta with shrimp & scallop basil pesto.
- Mike LanzilloFebruary 1, 2016Beat the line and come to this location rather than the Northend. Just as good

- Lisa BoydMay 24, 2014Be prepared to wait, but don't despair, the food is worth it. I had the squid ink puttanesca--fantastic!
- Samantha KochMay 10, 2013Butter squash ravioli is out of this world AMAZING! Order it! Poor service but the foods totally worth every minute.
- Christine CardosoMarch 10, 2012Best seafood-Italian food. Super affordable, split a dish! The lobster sauce is the best. Cash only.
- Daniel PainitzJanuary 3, 2012Don't be afraid to share...portions are big and everything was good. Well priced wine and great service as well.
- Steve PolandAugust 2, 2011Is there anything possibly bad to say here? We come from Buffalo for this place. This loc will accept reservations - u need them. North End no res. Wine is full glasses $4.50! Fra diavlo sauce Ymm!
- Brittney BlockJanuary 1, 2013Get the house salad with the balsamic vinaigrette instead of the caesar salad.
- Kinnell ShahAugust 9, 2013Bring cash because they don't take any type of plastic. If you need cash, there's a Bank of America ATM a block down.
- Mike DanubioAugust 26, 2011Seafood fra diavolo is the best. Anything with the Giacomo's sauce tastes great
- Peter SApril 24, 2011Gorge on pasta, spit a bottle of the reasonably priced wines (the Malbec was very tasty).
