Pork shank- crispy and terrifyingly proportioned, tender, delicious, falling off the freakin bone, even the acoustics are a joy. This is just good.
When we're in the mood for the best German food in the whole city, we head just a few blocks over to the Heidelberg for brats, potato pancakes, pork shank, boots of lager, and to say hi to Dieter!
Updated vibe maintains its old world charm and is putting out delicious German/Bavarian food and the perfect beers to wash 'em down with! Get the pork shank for dinner, or a currywurst for lunch! =)

Fried pork dumplings is delicious, and it is like gyoza. Could be a nice appetizer or a great side dish for a ramen.
Must try the pork dumplings! The tingly beef was great too, flavorwise. The noodles themselves are sub par but flavor was on point. Definitely coming back

Broth is so yummy. We had the meijin noodle and spicy pork, both were delicious. Wings were meh as an app. Octopus app was yummy.

Everything I have had here has been INCREDIBLE!! Summer roll, moon dumplings, pork shoulder banh mi, grilled eggplant are a few of my faves. Go!
The best pork chop they used to have as a signature menu is now called 'Lemongrass Pork Shoulder' and the number is 44 on the menu. Still awesome.
The assorted dumpling appetizer is a great way to start your meal. Can't go wrong with a bahn mi, my favorite is the pork belly. Great soups and entrees all around

Lovely speakeasy, kyoto ramen, pork buns. Cocktails are super cool but taste wise i would want try something other than the pineapple (too medicine y), truffle, and bee. Maybe the ginger one!
Lovely atmosphere, great cocktails and really tasty food choices. We tried fried chicken, pork buns and Hokkaido ramen and everything was perfect! Also, very reasonable prices.
Its hard to find good chinese food without going to Chinatown, but this place is awesome. Try the szechuan pork dumplings, one of my favs!
This is the only Chinese restaurant in the UES I'll frequent. I would recommend sticking to their Sichuan specialities such as Ma Paul Tofu, dan dan noodles, Sichuan pork dumplings, etc.
Vietnamese pork chop (Suon Nuong) was prepared well in ample portion. Food here is less salty than other Vietnamese places, so I was very satisfied with it.
Vermilion with shrimp and pork chop was cooked to perfection. Pork was amazingly tender! Sparkling lemonade was a refreshing compliment.

The pork nachos are phenomenal, each chip has every ingredient as its on mini dish! Side note: bacon lollipops are actually unreal, both are must haves!
Outdoor seating, which we opted for--pulled pork tacos needed sauce of some kind but other than that, great, quick service & an extensive beer list.
Schweinshaxe bavarian pork shank was good! Sausage Platters,bauernwurst, weisswurst, & bratwurst with potato salad, red cabbage sauerkraut were yummy.
An institution of the UES. One of the best places in NYC to get pork or any specialty German product. It’s not cheap, but worth it
This is certainly one of the most magical places on the UES. An institution for a century plus, you know your meat is well taken-care of.

We enjoyed Pig Heaven Pork (strips of pork crispy fried, sautéed with orange sauce) during our first visit at the new 3rd Ave location. Takeout prices are noticeably lower though never inexpensive.
Pork fried heaven, pork spare ribs, "vegetable moo shu". More expensive than normal Chinese food but WORTH IT! It even tastes healthier! Nancy is wonderful, and I will be back soon!
Solid classic Chinese American food. Pig Butt and Moo Shu pork were great. Very casual, fast service.

Pretty good for fast food. Pulled noodles of lamb and of pork had lots of flavor/cumin. Noodles were nice and chewy; meat was sparse but the lamb was good. Pork was off to me. 3.5/5

This UES spot has such a trendy vibe. Upscale enough for a date but casual enough to chow down with friends! The frozen margarita is AMAZING. Perfect balance of sweet, sour, and of course alcohol.
