Carl Schurz Park is a perfect place to relax for those who look for grassy areas outside of Central Park. A small field is perfect for sunbathicng or reading and a dog park lets pets run around.
Great dog park, much better since it was redone in Summer 2010. Ample room, good crowds, pretty well-lit at night.

The park is accessible at 63rd & York, over the pedestrian bridge. They have separate runs for large and small dogs, and there are even paddy pools! Great way to keep your pup cool on a hot day!
