One of the best sushi we tasted in Toronto! They have own Rosedale and Summerhill rolls, recommended! Sashimi salmon was of a great quality and basicly melted in the mouth. Also a good prices

Anago (Salt water eel) is eye-roll excellent. This may be the only place in Toronto that has it...or at least one of few. Worth the arm and leg paid, but i do miss my arm.

Sit at the sushi bar. There is a small board showing what's fresh and still available. The blue fin toro absolutely melts in your mouth
Japango roll is excellent! Agedashi Todu super smooth!! Unaju (eel) very good. Need to try oyster shots.

Black dragon sushi was good - tempura prawn & eel were a good combination & avocado/cucmber provided coolness & softness. Erotica was ok - good if you like conventional sushi
Everything I've tried so far has been fresh (sushi boat, sushi rolls, hwae dup bap, etc). I esp. like spicy salmon rolls. Try getting sushi boat with warm sake if you come with friends in winter.

Great food! Had the beef tartare app, Cornish hen main and lemon tartlet desert. All amazing! Stage has great sight lines and the sound is well done. All good!! Will most def go back.

Very good Japanese food at reasonable prices. Grilled black cod and barbecued eel on rice is recommended. Do not forget Sapporo
The banana tempura with vanilla ice cream makes for a perfectly light dessert after great sushi or on it's own as a mid-day snack.

Authentic Japanese in a classy atmosphere! Teppanyaki: entertaining and damn delicious. Service: fast and friendly. Price: on the expensive side, but worth it. Will definitely be returning for more!

Attention Annex Sushi lovers. Akai on Harbord is the best sushi to be found between those noisy Bloor Street joints and College and twixt Bay and Bathurst. Chef is careful and ingredients fresh.
Pay just a bit more for way better quality than the sushi joints on Bloor. Super friendly people who sometimes give you bonus appetizers with your takeout order!
Sashimi is legit. Tobiko, uni and tuna belly all fabulous. Saba is the best I've had anywhere. Try it!
If you are going for teppanyaki, you will get covered by oil so avoid wearing your wool sweater or silk shirt. Also avoid sitting along the west wall. The air flows from the door towards the wall.

We recommend the Dinner for 2/Dinner for 4. Fantastic amount of sushi/sashimi, miso soup, etc...for a very reasonable price. Plus warm, friendly, and efficient service! 1 of our favourite venues!
PRIDE 2012 TIP: Seating here is very limited, but their takeout is fast. Carefully made sushi at a reasonable price is what Kawa is known for. Try the salad rolls if you're going rice-free. Read more.
