Well worth the extra money, recommend getting a water view room. Hotel is extremely clean, everyone was very nice and vallet parking was great so you don't have worry about finding a parking spot.
Until 1964, this hotel was fading, but then "The Beatles" moved in. Their number 272 now is memorable, but there were other stars - Ray Charles, «Beach Boys» and «Led Zeppelin».

Among the many great food options at Safeco, my favorites were the Cheddar Bratwurst w/ grilled onions and sauerkraut (best sausage/dog) and the "Ichiroll" sushi (best food name in MLB).
The red potato pizza is a delicious comfort food. Ingredients are super fresh and tasty (and all vegetarian!). The two owners are very nice guys! Excellent happy hour at 3 with pizza & drink specials.
