This is the REI that got me to become a member. There is a rock climbing wall, bike trail, staff is super knowledgeable.
Amanda from the bike shop was amazing. She took her time thoroughly looking over our bikes, giving us a fair assessment, and the best price on the tune up and part replacement possible.

Go to Seward Park. Walk or bike to the north most tip. Find a bench or an open spot on the beach. Enjoy yourself.
Great view of Rainier on a clear day. Bike there on Sunday when Lake Washington Blvd is closed to cars.
Set up a hammock next to a trail a chill. Also bike races on Thursday afternoons.

A 2.8 mile trail with perfect view of the lake at the center. Great neighborhood too! I'll try to bring a bike next time!

It's four miles from the bridge to the end of Alki Beach Park, 8 mi round trip. Walk, bike, board, skate or run!
Very good for walking, biking, people watching. You can do kayaking, also you can rent tandem bikes and cruise around like a boss.

Neat hotel close to literally everything! They have free bike rentals & a bus & will help with planning local travel. Umbrellas in the room and dare you to look at your eyes in the bathroom mirror :)
