Almost all the dogs are off leash. It is a beautiful park.
Stop by the Sunday farmers market on Divisadero and Grove to pick up some snacks to munch on. (They even have a designated dog sitter to watch your pooch while you shop)

The park overall is hard to beat all things considered. Dog run is small & on an awkward hill though, making it hard for most dogs to run hard. Also one end does not have a gate for some reason.

Go before 9 am or after 4:30 during the week because way too many dog walkers ignore their dogs and make the individual dog owner unable to use it.

Small dog run. Break all the rules and just walk with your pup wherever you want.
There are cleanup bags here in case you don't have any when your doggie does their business. There are also shared water bowls and a water spigot for the thirsty pups.

Fenced in. Doesn't always have poop bags, so bring you're own. Closes frequently for maintenance, so be prepared that it won't be open.
Clean with two dog parks, one for bigger and one for smaller dogs. Love the slanted slope for running around. Gets really loud due to the highway above it. Pretty quiet, not too many dogs to play with
Has a little dog section that is perfect sized. Not all dog owners know what "little dog" means. Some bigger pups in there.
