There are a handful of good venues for rodizio in the Ironbound, but this one is the best. Choicest meats plus good service. Skip the tiny salad bar and save room for the rodizio!
Their menu is a small novel, but there's really only one thing to order: rodizio, giant skewers of charcoal-grilled meat paraded through the gaudy dining room by solemn waiters with carving knifes.

having tried many Portuguese restaurants, Im hardly ever impressed but this was GREAT!. Butter was soft, waiters attentive, sangria thick & delish, dessert to salivate for MAIN DISH WAS CRAVE WORTHY
Place is nice, staff is nice as well, but the bottom line is the food isn't good at all. Save your money and go elsewhere. There's plenty of Portuguese restaurants in Newark.

Amazing Service and fun menu. Love their blueberry BBQ sauce. Skip the dry chicken dishes and go for one of their other fun menu items.
I rarely ever leave reviews, but I had to this time. The service here was ridiculously slow, food came out in about an hour. Side dishes were wrong and extremely bland. We will not be coming back here
One of the BEST Spanish restaurants in America! My fav's include Ternera a la Vasca and Mariscada. The soup is always home made.
Been coming here since I was a kid. Maria the owner is great always on top of her staff and food is amazing. Only place to find Basque cooking.
Try the lentil soup when it is soup of the day. It is excellent.
I grew up on this good! My latest favorite is the veggie burger. Try it, It will fool you to think its beef!

I give this place 4 stars (out of 4). Service, food and decor were fantastic. John is the owner/host and he makes everyone feel welcome. Check out the autographed celebrity photos by the bar.

This is in Newark but it's only 10 minutes away from Belleville...I can honestly say they have the best sangria! I usually go to the bar area & always get the garlic shrimp appetizer...it's delicious!
The sangria is awesome and the bartenders are always very nice.
I loved the new decor, and the food is delicious. Start with tapioca cubes, then Filet Mignon with Risotto. As dessert, Dulce de Leche Lava Cake. Excellent attendance.
{11a - 1p} Lunch specials - best meal at this time, off of this menu. Can't go wrong with an espresso and aguardente too.
Have the flan. It's fantastic.
