June-Watch baby snapping turtles (& mamas) swimming about searching for food. & Around noon, sunning on the rock outcropping along the northern end of the pond. But don't touch, they bite pretty hard.
Look for the enormous alligator snapping turtle in the pond. You'll know it when you see it.
One of my five NY preferite places. Stunning by any side, not only the fountain but all the terrace. Underpass is great, too, and often there're artists exploiting its peculiar acoustics.

i regret to say that zippy and zoomy, my own turtles, went missing after hurricane sandy. the pond still looks cool though

Great place to see the face off of the west and east side Apt's. They've lowered the fence from years pass, making the view more accessible. Look at the water and you will see turtles and birds

Great spot in turtle bay. Call for reservations and ask for window seat. Try the deviled eggs!
While dinner here is awesome, we prefer to eat at this hip spot for brunch - reservations are a must. The BLT+E is to die for, and what makes it extra delicious is that it's served on a croissant!
