The gumbo while still tasty. Has celery instead of okra! Not really 'authentic'.

Everything we had was great. The cauliflower and the doodles were standouts. Also enjoyed the corn dumplings, oxtail spring rolls, and gumbo. Great service and nice atmosphere.
Incredible meal. The corn dumplings were the best dumplings we’ve ever had by far. Also delicious were the spring roles, steak, cauliflower, lobster rolls.
The corn dumplings were so good we got a second round after our meal was over.

Their gumbo is surprisingly good and spicy plus a small cup of yellow rice! The cornbread needs some help...
Ok, worth the hype. Lobster bisque is life changing and the sausage and shrimp gumbo is firey and delicious.
Best lunch deal around... $7 for a large soup, bread, piece or fruit and chocolate.

Established 1920s(?). Antique fixtures(?). Was brothel, speakeasy and gambling parlor across from old police headquarters. The system was so corrupt a tunnel connected the two buildings.
Love the late night show especially their dance night!
