Make a special occasion even more special. Do a tasting menu, the chef will also send out special bites in between, plan to spend a leisurely night, and lots of $, but totally worth it.
Great for a special occasion - they really do spoil you. Splurge and go for the tasting menu - trust them they know what they're doing and are totally good with catering to specific food aversions.
Gramercy Tavern is still my favorite restaurant for special occasions in all of NYC. The service is only outdone by the cuisine. Spectacular!

It's cliche, but I don't think I've had a better Japanese sushi centric meal in NYC. Went for a special occasion & it beat expectations. If you love Neta's combo of sushi & kaiseki & have cash to burn
If you can handle a big meal, go for the kaiseki. You get the omakase and some amazing additions. Milk bread with tuna tartar with caviar 😮😍. And they play mostly hip hop. Pricey too.

The perfect place for a special occasion. Everything is great but the beets, peanut butter and goat cheese are a standout item! Cocktails are exceptional as well.
It’s expensive, but worth it. Grab the theater menu. Those beet + peanut balls are a must. So is their signature dessert. Cocktails are way too expensive, but delicious.
This place is Michelin star worthy! Beautiful presentation and delicious food. Go for chefs tasting, order the pathar beef kebab, duck chettinad, sweet pick rib, dal ghost and butter chicken naan.
