Franklin Bonafe: Not only do they have the best burgers, they have sports in tv, great jukebox, and you can actually have a decent conversation with some interesting people:)
Esquire: Congratulations, you've found one of Esquire's Best Bars in America. Sure, it's a gay bar, but this dingy old survivor is more masculine than 90 percent of the straight bars in America.
Buford Barnes: Established as bar 1864 in building from 1826. Allegedly oldest Greenwich Village bar and oldest gay bar (since 1950s). Site of gay activist 'sip ins' in the 1960s.

HISTORY: The gay rights movement began here during a riot on June 28, 1969. Today, Gay Pride events are held annually throughout the world toward the end of June to mark the Stonewall riots.
Manhunt: The most famous gay bar in history. You've gotta stop in for at least one drink to say you've been. When marriage equality passed in NYC, this is where everyone came to celebrate.
