You can spend $100 downtown Montreal on Indian food or just spend $30 here and you'll like this place better. Excellent value. Not fancy, but it's a good trade off.
Chaat Bahar (tasteless), dahl tarka (ok), bhindi masala (ok), chicken curry (very good) and Taj platter (so so).

Restaurant was empty when we went but can't imagine why! Their butter chicken was delicious and the naan had just come out of the oven. It was soft and crispy in all the right places.

The best and authentic South Indian food in montreal ! If you are looking for idli and dosa's then this is the right choice.
Have the pav bhaji dosa and the idly sambar for the appetizer. Absolutely fabulous South Indian food. The lamb dosa is also very nicely done

Have their channa samosa (plate). It is delightful. Best samosas in the city.Prennez-vous leur samosa avec pois chiches (ass.), c'est magnifique. Sana a le meilleur samosas en ville.

Veg thali consisted of chick pea and potato/pea curries... All cheap carbs and starch. What was supposed to be mild burnt a hole in the stomach and the food resulted in dry mouth for hours.
Best Indian in the city period! Naan bread is crazy good! Ask for an upgrade to a bangalore plate !!!

Shrimp and scallop curry was absolutely amazing. Their naan pizza (the fresh fig one or the chicken tandoori one) are just an example of their fusion menu. Service is great. Totally date friendly.
Poulet au beurre is delish. One of the best I had in a while. The Baji d'oignon appetizer is pretty good too. Naan bread needs a bit more live though.
