I shared the meatball sandwich with my girlfriend. Benett, the chef made our stay even more wonderful - what a great guy! this place doesn't look like it, but it deserves 10 stars! oh, try the cakes!
This is a small but cozy mom & pop place, and pop is usually there alone. Be patient because the food is authentic and excellent.

The Garlic sauce for the chicken was amazing. The grape leaves were some of the best I have ever had. The Pita was hot straight out of the oven. The Baklava was an exclamation point to the meal!
Best pizza ever! I always eat here at least once (usually more) when I visit Monterey. Get the Caesar salad with homemade (authentic) dressing!

Truly one of the best cafes outside of France itself. Authentic and good
The almond croissant is sticky, moist, and delicious. If you like almond croissants even a little bit, you have to try this one.

The chicken satay and potsticker appetizers were to die for . Also, the fried rice with shrimp and chicken was delicious!! For desert I ordered the coconut ice cream... the best !!
Authentic British pub in downtown Monterey. Heated patio, full bar, good food, friendly servers as well as locals. Pretty low key; not a "club" type of place. Plus, it's British owned!

Get a Poke Lab Bowl (can be made gluten free) with fixings of your choice. Spicy mayo is a must. The only thing that could make this better is if there was one in Alabama where I live.

Ike's is a great sandwich place especially if you want to grab a quick meal while on the go! They have a very diverse selection of sandwiches that will satisfy meat eaters, vegetarians, and vegans!
So many vegan options! The bread alone is worth the trip.
Great veggie options; heck, great EVERYTHING options. Some sandwich combos (e.g., Robert Louis Stevenson) other Ike's don't offer. Try your favorite on a nice crisp Dutch Crunch! It's excellent fare.

Really good foods....but they use a lot of rice for the filler, ask for light rice. Unless then you are in to that kind of thing....then, whatever.
Always friendly and delicious. Parking can be a challenge since it’s near the theater.

Walk a block from the bad food near the aquarium and eat here. Mac n Cheese is great. Drinks awesome.

Come early to beat the lunch crowd. Ear plugs are a good idea to those w/ sensitive hearing. Acoustics amplify everything--clanking dishes, moving tables & chairs, crying/loud kids. No patio.
