Loved the gin & lime cured trout. Coffee was excellent too, as expected. Very friendly and attentive staff. Will be back... As soon as we can!

Love the breakfast! It has a long selection on the menu. Ricotta pancake was yummy. Ocean trout with poach eggs very good too. A great stop in the morning.

The ocean trout bagel special had bread that was too hard to cut through. Flavourful sweet potato/onion fritters w/ truffled salsa verde,poached eggs,mushroom, pea shoots+grilled saganaki to top off
My go-to for brunch. Brilliant if you're looking for something a bit fancier or decadent (e.g. confit duck omelette), but they also do great salads/tarts/sandwiches for lunch.
Scallop with caviar is a winner as too I'd the coral trout. The red duck curry is so so.

Tried 9 dishes. Truly awesome are beef tartar (subtle, fresh), sugar cane prawn (u cud b in Saigon), rice paper rolls ( ditto Saigon)... Hard to argue with the other dishes - this cud b a top 10 meal
nice eats - try the betel leaf trout or prawns - but ultimately undermined by mediocare service and vocational grade bar - pint glasses are for pints of beer not for mixed drinks people
Bar food this ain't! Get, on this order, prawns (nice long spice on back of tongue), betel leaves with smoked trout (little spice mixed with smoked flavor, pork hocks (bacon done right!)
amazing food..whole fish dishes are usually the go - if you can fit it in, get the desert sample plate!
The back patio is so cool - right off the alley you feel like you are totally somewhere else! And the food - amazing trout and batatas!!
Cauliflower (fried) is unique and nice but steaks are fantastic
Upon selecting the $100 set menu, ask the waiter for the copy of the menu as it differs from the online version

Try the aged sirloin steak. Absolutely spectacular with the red wine jus + bernaise and quite affordable at $25 (should come standard with veggies though)!

the coffee is great, and there's a selection of baked goods like the Brunswick St location but this cafe specialises in hearty sandwiches and the pulled pork with potato salad is fantastic!

Great food, wine and service. The Pre-Theatre menus are particularly good - 2 courses and a glass of wine $45, 3 courses $55. Robert is a fantastic host and the food is always innovative and fresh.

Lovely authentic Italian. Cosy with knowledgeable and personable staff. Reasonable to old world wine list. Rabbit and prosciutto casoncelli and cheesecake were the standouts
Rabbit ravioli with a cloud of ricotta and wrapped in prosciutto was lovely though the portion was on the smaller size.
Must try the ocean trout salad
Get here early and try the muffins just as they come out hot from the oven - banana chocolate is superb

The trout is an amazingly fresh and tasty dish.
Only had coffee here, which was top notch. Really enjoyed the atmosphere too. Try the succulent almond/orange croissant, you won’t be disappointed
Good decor, good coffee, good menu but not as excellent and creative as Top Paddock. It's a pity.
