Pasta and risotto was awesome :) The bug risotto was flavourful and I loved my prawn pasta, mix in the prawn roe (in the head) to get a sweeter prawny taste in ur pasta :)
Kid friendly. Spaghetti Bolognese available off the menu, bug our six year old loves the scallop with black rice, duck gnocchi, truffle risotto and the broccolini. Fantastico!
An amazing experience in every way!! Incredible freshly sliced salami and possibly the best pasta around. Definitely recommend this place.

Fabulous food, generous serves, reasonably priced (which can be hard to find in Melbourne!). Love the homemade pasta! The arancini are yum (+ chilli oil). The panna cotta with honeycomb is awesome! :)
If the chicken and garlic tortelloni is on the menu, dive in - it's excellent. Add parmesan, pepper and chilli and it's even better!
Fantastic (and filling) lasagna. Try the watermelon granita... It's delicious. You'll need to stick around to score a seat, but it's worth it.

That squid ink pasta. Fresh, juicy, lemony and delicious from the first forkful to the very last sauce-soaked crumb of bread.
Pretty damn good daily sandwich specials, with a side of pretzels and mac & cheese.
Double smoked pork belly with coriander slaw on a brioche, yum! Reuben is popular but I like the pork belly way more. The mac & cheese were great, same as pumpkin chocolate brownie yum!

Book for the restaurant, or grab a table on the terrace for the bar menu - think burger, pizza, great meatballs and rocket and blood orange salad. The awesome Crab Spaghettini is in the restaurant.
Most restaurants do a t-bone steak with chips and salad, or linguini marinara. Very few do them this well. Donovan's walks the fine line between high-end and comfort food with delectably good taste.
