Many great items: choriqueso, duo dip, carnitas, fish tacos. Went in a group of 9. had an upstairs table. The food was outstanding. Service excellent. Would go back again and again.
Owner Peter Garland also owns the adjacent Bar Room, which offers cocktails, beer and wine, along w/ mini versions of Porta Via's signature dishes, such as sweet potato fries with bleu cheese sauce.
Great breakfast burrito and French toast! Ask to sit outside for breakfast to people watch!
The Fully Green juice is tasty and healthy. I also recommend the Greek egg white omelette.

Great big menu with lots of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. Wish they had some wine or cocktails available.
The gravy was fantastic as was the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. The menu remains inflexible, as some other reviewers have commented. Great service and atmosphere.

amazing - full of imported italian foods- I went after my recent Italy trip helped me pick the best olive oil out of the many choices and refrigerated items look great too. definitely be back!

I've been going to this cafe since 2009, and this place has got to be the best, the food and drinks are really decent! Its just the best friendliest customer service so far in Downtown, LA!

Al Pastor burger is amazing.
Can't go wrong with the simple yet oh so tasty GLAZE donuts. We went around 6p and they were still very fresh.
