Everyone that can should go to the 500 and also tour the museum at least once in their life! The museum is open year round - I believe it's only $5.

Their blueberry ice cream , is great , if you have time take a walk on the path in the back , ( self guided tour) I'm sure as fall approaches it will be even nicer !
If you do a tour and have younger aged children, ask for a tour guide that is used to that age group. Our tour guide got frustrated with our group and cut tour short.
