The central hub is Hermann Park which is basically Houston’s Central Park. Folks come out here to picnic, ride pedal boats, see the Japanese Gardens, go to the zoo, and roll down Miller Hill.

I love having an awesome nature park smack dab in the middle of the city and right down the street from home. Lots of trees, picnic tables, walking/bike trail and 2 kiddie parks all rolled in one!

Perfect spot for a picnic date. Get some craves cupcakes, wine or make a spiked punch, get some finger food (wraps or cute sandwiches) bring a spread or chair and attend a movie on the lawn
Discovery Green is a phenomenal place to see concerts. The setting is beautiful in the middle of downtown, but also spacial, which makes for not a bad picnic, either.

One of my favorite new restaurants in Houston! Picnic dog, ol' Zapata, corny dogs and their housemade chips are some personal favorites.
Just go! And make sure to grab a Picnic Dog! The place is incredible.
Homemade condiments are all good. Wings are spicy and flavorful. Picnic dog was great! Try the lavender lemonade 😋
Love the water wall! Perfect for pictures, picnics, etc. Gets really crowded on weekends - go during the week!

Great park. We run, play baseball, and have picnics here. Very safe, convenient, and the new parking arrangements allow easier accessibility to the areas you are looking to be at.
Huge parks with tons of picnic space and trails. There is even a large dog park in the area.
Hiking the Nature Trail is fun, but they need to mow and maintain it. Watch out for high weeds and grass (wear long pants), fallen trees across the trail and snakes.
The Menil and the park across the street are ideal places to have a picnic on a beautiful day.
This place is so laid back. It's nice to see the exhibits. Also, the outside is good for picnics & chillin' if you want to ready or study.

It is a great selection of beer, and tasty bar food, it's the ultimate sports fan's paradise. The atmosphere is always lively, and the staff is friendly and attentive.
