HBO: Sex and the City happened here. Not to be confused with El Cantinero (Stanford made this mistake), Carrie sipped Shirley Temples while waiting for friends to arrive for her 35th birthday dinner here.
Caroline Schulweis: Great food, decor, and service. I've been looking for THE go-to Italian spot like this for a long time. I'd get more specific, but I don't think you can go wrong here.

The Spark Group: Romantic, romantic, romantic. The garden in the back is perfect for sharing wine, a cheese plate, dessert, and longing looks.
Greg Battle: Go to Bar Next Door to La Lanterna on Sunday nights and watch Peter Mazza play jazz guitar. Brilliant stuff.

People: Hit the ATM because this Italian hot spot is cash only. And it's worth it—the West Village standby boasts yummy pasta, sunny scenery and a shot at glimpsing frequent patrons Jay-Z and Beyoncé.
Henry Bodmer: Best simple Tuscan restaurant in NYC!!! It like you would be at someone's home in Italy!!! People watching Sat and Sun around 2pm!!! Burrata is a must get 😉 the vermentino white wine is fantastic!!!
