Absolutely obsessed with this place! Everything is so fresh and healthy. Lunch standouts: charred cauliflower appetizer, fish tacos and grilled chicken salad. Sweet potato pie for dessert. Open B/L/D.

Really good options for the plant-based, vegan or vegetarian eater. They have vegan chorizo tacos, and an incredible pizza with squash and almond ricotta.
One of the best venues in the city (and my first Chicago show when I moved here). Can be hot during the summer, but the quality of acts booked here more than make up for it.
Get there a little early and stake out a spot on the upstairs balcony railing; sure, the floor's more fun, but the view from up top's unparalleled.

Excellent classic cocktails (love their Dark & Stormy) and great music. Cheap ginger beer if you are going booze free for the night. Cash only!
Great little third wave shop. They made me a flat white even though it wasn't on the menu. Baristas were extremely friendly and accommodating. If I lived around here I'd probably come in every day.

The omelettes at brunch are fantastic. If you're here for lunch or dinner, I highly recommend the Mac & cheese. You can add whatever you want to it and make it taste amazing. Get funky with it.

The back room's a great size and has the best touring and local indie acts. The front room is where everybody knows your name. Check them out on Facebook - they're always giving away tickets to fans.
