Laura Itzkowitz: Toby's might be the best coffee shop in NYC. The espresso drinks are great, food is delicious, and decor is hip. Be prepared to watch like a hawk for a seat to open up.

Michael: Vietnamese kitchen serving classics like Pho and Banh Mi in a compact, trendy atmosphere (the bathroom is behind a trap door!). Tacos are served in a Banh Xeo crepe shell, which adds a nice twist.
Kaisa Hernberg: Tiny, yet stylish and modern. The food was really fresh and tasty. We had the shrimp tacos and vegetarian pho, both were excellent.
Jeffrey Kao: Hip Vietnamese food without the hipster price tag. Very reasonable, but trendy and homey at the same time. Classic Banh Mi is LOADED.

Douglas Elliman: A hip and chic Japanese tapas bar with a two-story patio. The fish is incredibly fresh and we love the low-key atmosphere. We go crazy for the Pork Betty! It literally melts in your mouth.

Giray Atalay: It the hot spot when you are seated by the heat lamp. Great Bibb salad and mashed potatoes. Not so hot meats. Hot enough for hip Williamsburgers I guess.
Peter Cucè: Hip, happening, delicious, St Anselm can be loud, and wait times can run to 3 hours, but it's worth it for their simple meat cuts and interesting vegetable dishes. Over-salting can be an issue.
