Deborah Sutliff: We had the gnudi (outstanding), asparagus (lovely), mushroom cassoulet (light yet hearty), grouper (sublime), duck (superb), and then there was dessert... everything was amazing right down to coffee.
Washington Post: The cooking reflects the taste of a NC native who isn’t afraid of seasoning his work with outside influences: Rhubarb’s popular lamb ribs, for instance, are racy with a collard green kimchi. Read more.
Joe Lightcap: Lobster corn dogs are amazing. Sit at the counter to watch the chefs do their thing and maybe you'll get an extra treat like we did.

Marc Vittoria: Definitely try the Mac & cheese, the everything seed bread, house made pickles and the PEI mussels. The mac was super cheesy and creamy. The sauce the mussels came in was awesome.
Brian Finn: Hmm..Market Place served some of the best food and wine I've had in a long time. We ate late though and had a really awesome waiter. It was a perfect birthday night. Maybe different when it's packed.
Bryan Shepard: Been at the table for over an hour and still haven't gotten our food. If you want a looooong night out enjoy. If you want what I would consider normal service. Bypass this place.
