HISTORY UK • February 14, 2011The remains of Southwark’s first theatre, The Rose built in 1587, were rediscovered here during excavations in 1989. It was put out of business by the (original) Globe in 1600.

ehayles • August 28, 2012Riverside bookshop is very nice. Café Rouge has lovely breakfast and next to the bookshop, you can also buy cheap West End theatre tickets.
