One of DC's lunchtime gems. Great food, quick, and friendly staff. Favorite is the marinated beef tacos (pictures here).
So much better than Chipotle. Marinated beef burrito is the way to go.
Order the tasty Shish Kabob made with marinated beef tenderloin, skewered with onions, tomatoes & bell peppers, served over rice with a house made bread roll.

Part Thai, part Vietnamese, Doi Moi is pleasure. Mark Kuller (Proof, Estadio) and chef Haidar Karoum returned from Southeast Asia to create flavors that some foodists compare to Little Serow.
So many good things to try here but some of the must-haves are the Asada marinated steak tacos, Pescado fish tacos, and of course the amazing corn on the cob 'street style.'
Sope de Moronga is amazing. Deep rich black flavor and a fresh green taste on top. Nice with a Pomegranate Tart Apple Margarita with Lime Chile Salt
El Chucho has an impressive beverage menu for such a small place, complete with a variety of margaritas, spike-able sodas and a cocktail list that includes the Senor Clusterf*ck and a Blue Hawaiian.
The Dweejee Bulgogi was quite amazeballs... and they play fantastic music too! My favorite new lunch stop in the North Capitol vicinity.

The meat sampler plate is great to share! It comes with two vegetable sides and lots of injera. The home made spice tea was a welcome addition. Everything is made to order and service is great!

Veggie sampler is best! Try the cabbage and chickpeas
Lamb kabobs Goshnan are great, but the real winners are the desserts. Try the Dolan or honey cakes.

Mom's lagman with hand pulled noodles is good.
The Dolci Gelati gelato is local, artisan and incredibly delicious!

Value Meals, offered in the deli section at all locations, are a great deal. For $6,8 or 10, choose a main dish of chicken or pasta + 2 non-protein sides for $6, vegan +2 for $8, meat/fish +2 for $10.
Best shawarma in DC- if you have a good Lebanese friend, guaranteed you already know about this place. Extra garlic mayo please.

Pad Thai is delicious and the service is quick! Lunch menu from 11-3 is cheaper and includes a spring roll.
Green curry and Thai violet are nice delivery orders for cap hill residents.

The St. Asaph is a dynamite turkey sandwich. Highly recommended.
