Interior reminds me of community centers of Soviet Union era, but food is great and lamb kabob aka shashlik is probably the best I’ve had in California so far
The lamb ribelletes are delicious! We also enjoyed the veggie dumplings and beef and noodle soup. Everything is handmade for you. The little wait is well worth it! Owners were great too.

Friendly, casual, full of Santa Cruz locals. Their Aviation gin cocktail impressed as did the fingerling potatoes, and the lamb kabobs. Opt for a stoop at the bar for lively banter with the waitstaff.
There spicy lamb is one of the best Ive had. Just the right spicy and an amazing flavor to go with it and no gamines. If you like lamb you should give it a try.

House-made bread, salads are generous, pasta has good texture. (Hostess seated three new tables in green waiter’s section — didn’t work out well for us. He was great but in the weeds.)
My current favorite quick stop for lunch on the west side. As a bonus; So far all of the Cooks here have been great at keeping everything Gluten Free and not cross contaminating my order.

I don't know why people left bad reviews. Everything was delicious & service was wonderful. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but we loved it. The mushroom curry, especially, is recommended.
